Well written and engaging despite it being a typical romance, but the narration was so peculiar. The narrator speaks with constant exhalation as if she's putting a baby to sleep for however many hours. She also completely over-emphasises the 'a'/'ah' sound. "Back" becomes "bahrk", "palm" becomes "pohm", and tragically, "facts" becomes "fahrks". Really bizarre it's totally put on because other times she slips into a normal pronunciation.

Held my attention throughout. Enjoyed the humor and the wonderful characters. Books 2 & 3 in the series are just as good.

A good casual read. I understand why Hayden was as messed up about his past as he was and the reasons for his self loathing. I liked Sophie but there were moments I thought she deliberately misinterpreted what he was saying/doing. This story did however have a very sweet epilogue.
