Was Doktor Watson zunächst wir eine Zeitungsente erscheint, wird schon kurz darauf zu einem Rätsel für Sherlock Holmes. Offenbar werden in London Diebstähle von ei-nem unsichtbaren Täter ausgeführt. Als dann auch noch Lestrade auf die beiden zu-kommt und sie mit Miss Baxter bekanntmacht, die unfreiwillig unsichtbar geworden ist, kommt der Fall erst richtig in Fahrt. Hinzu kommt, dass Wiggins, der Anführer der Baker Street Spezialeinheit, irgendwie in den Fall verwickelt ist, Holmes aber diesmal nicht unterstützen kann. Wird der Meisterdetektiv, trotz allen Schwierigkeiten, das Geheimnis der Unsichtbarkeit lösen können?
