a good book but with 2 steps back

still an interesting book and more for me to enjoy however there were a few things I was not to happy with in the first book they made a big deal about no more secrets and how they had tell share everything about themselves and since the MC held back about his magic they hated him and it yet in this book its clear that most of the team are hiding secrets but it ok for them they even said as much which it's a big WTF moment also you would think by now 3 years in that the other would be more use to magic when it comes to their friend but no they have not grown an become Venomous apart from those two faults everything great and I'm moving straight onto the next book with no breaks

Loved this book!

I'd recommend this series to any young listener. a story line that isn't always predictable keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Sorry good nelsa character bad

Nelda turning into a toddler whenever something magic happens makes me want to kms. Story and concept good. But some of the character building is a lil shallow mostly with how annoying Nelsa is about magic.

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE...

I'm about 3 hours in and I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE... I find it so INCREDIBLY frustrating that 3 years in they still don't trust each other, complete mistrust of magic and of Camo even though he's never done anything bad, quite the opposite, saving their lives and generally helping them. I also find it really frustrating that the main group of characters should be aged around 19 yet they have the maturity of 13-year-olds, is this the target audience? Whatever case, I'm far older than that and it's an aspect of this series that continues to bug me and combined with the above reasons, I'm not going to listen any longer. Normally I would have complained that these books were far too short for the $15 cost but this time its all too long. I suggest giving it a miss unless you are a young teen yourself however even then I would suggest these characters are emotionally poor role models.

Battle scenes go on forever

Most of the book seems to be a battle scene. You know what’s going to happen and it is very tedious having to listen to it all. Having said that I’m now going to listen to book 4 and have overall enjoyed the series immensely.

Poorly written, a mess!

Struggled to finish it, the story is very frustrating. The characters are poorly written. The first book was promising and so I kept torturing myself in the hopes of it getting better, but I will stop here.
