Meh...

I thought this would be more about Shannon's experience & how it changed or effected her day to day life & the effect on her health. But was more about information found in medical journals, from doctors or those who teach mindful meditation. I already know the positive effects meditation can have, but was hoping to hear about someones personal journey, which this book is not. Shannon does a great job with narration but honestly got nothing out of it.

Easy to listen and good practical techniques to follow. Small changes can make a whole lot of difference but the key is to implement it.

Well researched, inspiring

Well researched, inspiring and interesting. I have read a lot about mindfulness but Shannon’s explanations resonated with me and for the first time I think I am understanding some of my struggles with meditation. Time to give it another go!
Shannon also has a lovely reading voice.
I highly recommend this audio book.

A must read

I loved this book. For anyone who is interested in the real science behind meditation this is where its at. It has clearly been written and narrated from the perspective of a well informed health journalist.
I enjoyed every minute. I found the author so engaging to listen to as well.
I think we will be hearing more from this writer as she clearly knows her stuff and can't wait for her next book.

Insightful

Very easy to follow as she explains things in lay terms! I would definitely listen to it again.
