It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime, but it’s turned into a nightmare — my son is missing.

My son Cam is going to be a baseball star. He’s only thirteen but this trip is a huge opportunity for him. There are scouts from all the major baseball teams at this tournament. He is the one to watch.

The night before the tournament starts, Cam’s bed is found empty.

Everyone is a suspect.

People are always jealous of him — other kids, other parents. Even his own father.

Anyone could have taken him.

The police start digging into every corner of our lives. They want to know everything about us. Everything about our relationship. Every secret we’ve kept from each other.

They’re going to find out what I did.

the story it's self was okay, but omg the narrators were both terrible. The male narrator sounded like an off brand trump. The woman wasn't much better. Overall average, could have been a lot better with the right people reading the story.

It was an overall interesting story. However, it did a lot of mulling over the same details over and over without adding to the story. This made it drag on a bit. Was very interesting towards the end.

overly detailed

Extremely long uneventful beginning of the book with unpleasant narration. Wanted to give up on the book a few times after started, however decided to give it a chance.
Boring storyline that was easy to predict.
Will avoid listening to other books from this author.

Good story with some twists you see and some you don’t.
The female narrator lets the performance down hugely however.
Several times I was ready to bail when a male perspective would start and I finally hung in to the end.

Plenty of twists

The voice accent of the main character it was annoying and didn’t sound like a real person’s place kind of sounded stunted
