Cliffhanger UUUUUGH!

The trauma that these 4 girls went through in the beginning of this book was hard to hear and could be a trigger for someone who has suffered similar abuse as a child. But their bond kept me engaged and interested enough to see the book through. Towards the middle I got confused with the characters LJ and JR and JuJu and TuTu and thought the narrator misspoke and started to lose interest. Once I realized they were all different characters I was back on track and engaged and felt like I was watching a movie until I got to the end which was a LOT to take in with the introduction of many more characters and a bunch of drama only to then just end. No to be continued or anything- just end. UUUUGH!

Nicole bought this story to life

Where does My Besties rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would rank it pretty high because the voice over sounds perfect for the genre

What did you like best about this story?

How Nicole changes the tone to match what's going on in the story

What does Nicole Small bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You can visualize certain aspects of the story a lot better.

If you could rename My Besties, what would you call it?

Girls in the hood.

Horrible Ending!!

I actually enjoyed this book. This was my first time reading Asia Hill’s work. Nicole Small did her thing. The ending was so abrupt. I hope there's a part 2.

Ehhhh!!!!

I was a bit confused due to all the characters, but thanks to Nicole Small (my fav narrorator) I was able to keep up. The book was good then BAM just ended. This is so disappointing to not know what happens next.

WOW, this is a LOT

I found the it a bit hard to cope with some of he issues, especially the abuse. I was captivated with the storyline of the babies basically trying to find a why out the struggle. It had some real great points

Downside, is it's been 5 years and no attempt go resolve the open ending? hmmmmm!!!1

It was okay

The book started off really good but towards the end I was confused because of the switching back and forth from different characters.

It was ok

Spoiler alert 🚨: This book was definitely inspired by the movie Set It Off.

I’m tired of every character being so perfect. Perfect ass:waist ratio, perfect hair, perfect clothes, men, perfect! Biggest d*%ks?! I’m over it, and before someone reads this and says I’m hating, my measurements aren’t perfect, but I am sitting with a 32-30-43 measurement, so I’m not that bad.
I like Nicole a lot better than other narrators, but she doesn’t catch emotions well enough to me. I’m assuming they don’t get to read the book before recording? Also, when she recites the lyrics to songs, ima need her to know the flow of the lyrics, especially the words, as well as the writer. They completely messed up Future’s lyrics lol.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad book. I liked the fact that because I’m from Chicago, I was able to follow and picture the scenes. I believe this author has potential.

First Audiobook.

This was my first Asia Hill book and I finished it in two days the book was gripping and strong and street. The characters where so real i didn't want to put the book down. Now I am looking forward to see if there is a book 2. Brilliant.
