Story
Jackson wants to whisk me away for a week. No strings, no expectations. Just one crazy week with the hottest man I've ever laid eyes on. And it isn't supposed to mean anything. But the more time I spend with him, the more I realize he's not just a hottie with a naughty body. He's someone I'm falling for...hard. We come from different worlds, and I don't know if I can handle it. The only thing I know for sure - it definitely must be crazy.

If people have polar opposites, Luca Rossi is mine. His butt is in the baseball hall of fame. Mine's comfortably seated in the hall of lame. When he's not snagging fly balls out in center field, he's modeling in shampoo commercials. I once jammed my own finger while stirring cookie dough, and sometimes I forget shampoo is a thing. He's a total cynic when it comes to love. I make a living writing love stories. But after my latest broken engagement (no, I don't want to talk about how many times that's happened), it's clear he's exactly the man I need.

The Asher Bailey who comes home to his quirky small town isn’t the same man who put a ring on Grace’s finger. He’s bigger, harder, haunted. Forced to give up Grace and everything else that was good in his life for a prison sentence he barely survived. Now that he’s home, he finds himself aggressively welcomed by his brothers and gleefully gossiped about by his neighbors. He’d counted on both. But he never expected to see Grace still wearing his ring. Grace’s fairy tale didn’t end. It was interrupted.

Publisher's Summary
When opposites attract, it’s messy...and perfect.
From the moment Clover crashes into my life, she turns my world upside down. She’s quirky and fun - unlike any woman I’ve ever known.
Her wild ideas pull me out of my comfort zone, and I love the way she makes me feel. But her free spirit longs to roam, and I don’t know if she can do the one thing I really need: stay.
I’m sure fate led me to Jetty Beach, but until I meet Cody Jacobsen, I’m not sure why. The small-town doctor - with his gorgeous body, ridiculous dimples, and adorable bedside manner - sweeps me off my feet and saves the day. Literally.
Our chemistry is off the charts. But to a man like him - mature and put together - I’m a wild breeze who throws him off-kilter. And for a woman like me - who never truly lets anyone in - he might want more than I can give.
He might want everything.

Cody and Clover.... As Opposites As Ever!
Must Be Fate was a good story, but my least favorite in the series so far! Dr. Cody Jacobsen, and Clover are as opposites as it comes. He's a doctor used to routines and stability, and she's a free spirit that lets the universe guide her. When she's fired, she lets the universe guide her yet again.... right to Jetty Beach. While the universe guided her where she needed to be, the timing wasn't convenient.... or was it? She's made it to Jetty Beach, but all hotels are booked up with tourist. Out dining, and deciding what her next move will be, she's about to leave when she looks across the restaurant into the most mesmerizing eyes, and then "bam" everything goes dark. When she comes too, she's staring right up into those eyes, and that big lump on her head is starting to really hurt. But never fear, the great Dr. Jacobsen's in the house, and he's going to take real good care of Clover. Wanting to ensure she is alright, he takes her to his clinic for an after hours exam..... just an exam....to you know.... check her vitals. While examining Clover, he learns she's new in town.... like just arrived that day new. Knowing all the hotels are booked, the good doctor offers to let her crash at his place so he can keep a close eye on his patient.
Cody and Clover may be opposites, but they each had a positive impact on the other. She teaches him to live in the moment, and to trust his gut instincts, and he has her longing for stability, the white picket fence, and a kid or two. Their relationship was on the instant side, but was also low on angst and drama. Must Be Fate was more of a sweet feel good romance.
The narration was great! Kimberly and BJ both nailed it, and I'm really enjoying listening to this duo.
Good story, great addition to the series, but an even better KU/whispersync deal! I will definitely be on the lookout for the next audio in the series.

Didn’t finish
I can’t comment on the whole book, because I couldn’t make it past chapter 7. The first few chapters were about Clover. She’s a mess. She’s not a flighty fun wild child; she’s a clumsy distraught sort of pathetic girl who gets fired from a coffee shop. Nothing endearing to make me like her The next chapter is about Cody, a nice general practitioner who works long hours and decides at the end of the day to break up with his on again/off again girlfriend. It was probably the male narrator, but Cody just felt bland. Clover and Cody meet in a restaurant when Clover runs into a server and hits her head, offering Cody the chance to help her. He takes her to his clinic, and promptly gets a hard on while examining her head. Um, ew, creepy doctor guy. He thinks she might have a concussion, so rather than take her to a hospital (!) he takes her home, sets her up in his bedroom, and contemplates jacking off while thinking of her various body parts lying in his bed. Clover, lying in his bed, wearing his t-shirt, smelling his scent all over the place, is thinking the same. Did I mention they just met and she has a concussion? Since this story seems to be simply a shoddy vehicle meant to deliver sex, I had to stop. Sorry, not for me.

Fun and Easy Read with family drama
Overall opinion: 3.75 Stars This was an entertaining story and fast-paced. My negative thoughts are definitely subjective as the H was an idiot towards the end to create a gotcha moment and the h was in constant run-away mode. I did like the way the relationship built and that chemistry was well written. Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary. Narrator(s) good POV: dual Overall Pace: fast Instalove: no H Rating: 7/10 h Rating: 6/10 Sad/happy/thrill/Angst/TSTL - mostly happy Heat Level: 6/10 Descriptive Sex: 6/10 OW/OM Drama: sort of Sex with OW/OM: no Cheating: <intentionally left blank> Separation: Yes Triggers: Love Closure (HEA/HFN/Cliffhanger): HEA Additional Thoughts?

Messy Perfect Love
3.5 stars I love how Claire creates these great communities for her series. I’m really enjoying Jetty Beach. Thought I will say I wanted to love this one more than I did. I loved Cody and I liked Clover a lot too but for some reason I just didn’t connect with them the way I did with the other two couples. Maybe it’s just me. But I was looking forward to seeing Cody find happiness after the glimpses of him and awe full Jennifer in the previous books. Now I’m off to read Hunter’s story.

Cute opposites attract book, ok narration
I liked both Clover and Cody as characters and as always, it's great to revisit with the other couples at Jetty Beach. Clover is flighty (a little too flighty?) while Cody is very steady and straight-laced (probably a good thing for a doctor). The story is cute and a bit of an insta-attraction/love and there wasn't anything too surprising. But it was a fun way to spend a few hours. I bought the ebook and I borrowed the audiobook via audible escape. The narration was ok- both the narrators were relatively new to me but I didn't think they did that great with differentiating between voices. The male narrator was also a bit gruff and older sounding. I liked that I was able to whispersync so I could read and listen at my own preference.

Good but not great
I like the story and the main characters. The author and the narrators weren’t new to me and I will look more of their work. That said, some of the lines in this story were a little too much. Especially when the ex shows up and tried to make trouble. They did not take matters into their own hands. Instead, allow her to do whatever she wanted. They should have press charges but didn’t. All in all, I highly recommend!
