About this listen

The first book of the series.

Humayun Ahmed has represented Himu to us with Moyurakkhi [Peacock]. Hearing the name of Himu, our eyes imagine a young bear-footed man wearing a yellow Panjabi with a large beard and three betel-colored teeth. The full name of Himu is Himalaya. Himu has a river of the imagination whose name is Moyurakkhi.

The novel starts with the sentence ‘’Hey boy hey ‘’. By mistake, a woman called him “Tutul.” This manly youth is “Himu.” For this mistake, he had to go to thana with Mrs Justy and her daughter. From then, the talking of the boy holds much of the attraction of the listener. After a while, Himu introduced them with his river Moyurakkhi.

After the death of Himu’s parents, his aunt and uncle adopted him. His cousins Badol and Rinki love him very much. The conversation with his uncle surprises the listeners. By this novel, we will recognize Himu slowly. The writers have upheld many memories from his childhood to bring up. His father’s process of accomplishing hallow gives us a different form of feeling.

After that, there is an introduction between Himu and Rupa in this book. Okey dokey! Does Himu love him? No one knows. Moreover, above all, the writers have introduced Himu basically with the devotee of Himu character by this book.

I love the ending of this book. It brought tears to my eyes. So, if you have not listened to this book yet, listen to this beautiful book very soon!
