Für diesen festlichen Anlass hat der Lord noch einmal alle eingeladen, die ihm nahestehen. Starker Schneefall sorgt dafür, dass niemand der illustren Gesellschaft das Landgut verlassen kann. Dieser Umstand wird besonders brenzlig, als der Sohn des Lords am Weihnachtsabend tot zusammenbricht - vergiftet mit Zyankali. Wer ist dafür verantwortlich? Der übergangene Vetter? Die junge Geliebte? Oder doch der Butler? Eins steht jedenfalls fest: Verdächtige gibt es viele. Und: Dieses Weihnachten wird mörderisch.
