Good for children who are dog lovers

The narration is wonderful; it works with the switching of perspectives for each chapter. However, I listened to this audiobook with the intention of teaching it to Grade 7 and I believe the story is okay. It explores a tiny bit of darker themes like dysfunctional families and depression. But it definitely has friendship, belonging and the love for dogs as its main themes.

I think it won't be a good book for Grades 7 up. But primary school would work fine if the kids are dog lovers.
