Publisher's Summary

The beautiful monster girls of the archipelagos were in need. They needed a man to help build their homes. They needed a man to teach them to survive. They needed a man to defend them from the evil slaver-pirates. And most of all, they needed a man to impregnate them and rebuild their population.

Fortunately for them, a man named Ben came from our world to give them everything they needed.

I was suprised

Logan jacobs make filler books, you know the type, you have an extra credit and your favorite authors book isnt out yet. So you buy a book that sounds interesting. I did that and am so glad i did. This is a very good book. The harem aspects are annoying but its logan jacobs specialty so you know its coming(pun intended).

I didn't expect high fantasy, but this is just ...

I rarely write poor reviews, but the story is pretty overwhelmingly terrible. The narrators did a good job of capturing the story, but there is just nothing there to work with. I generally enjoy harem and litrpg series. They are entertaining, and I am pretty liberal with what I will accept. I enjoyed Logan Jacobs 'God of Magic' series. This book really disappointed me. I have three main issues with the story:

1. The MC is beyond arrogant, with absolutely no reason to be so. The excepted rationale is that because he is a man he can save everyone. This is only made worse when everyone else just stares at him in awe and wonder after every action he takes. Additionally, introduction provides the reader with some background and a general idea of his skills, but when the story progresses, he uses none of those and just pulls knowledge from no where. Finally, he is a walking penis, and that is the only thing he uses to think.

2. The number of plot holes are too great to ignore. The missing men? The fact that they live on an island yet have not one boat? Living on an island for a 1000 years, but not knowing anything what so ever about it. The MC's skill set is just bizarre. The fact that the village even still exists when they cannot produce food or defend themselves. The list is massive, but gets into spoiler territory I wish to avoid.

3. I like strong female characters, and so I was glad to see the strong women presented in the opening sequence on the island. This is literally the only strength or initiative shown by the female cast at any point though. The 'strongest' warrior in the village is completely incompetent and can only run away. No one in the village has any knowledge or skills unless they are told to do something by a man. They are all flat, with no development or reason to have survived this long.

I like the brain candy of harems and OP protagonists, but this just has no flavor to it.

Fantasies of a 20 year old

Not bad for beginning writer. Could have used a good editor to get better pacing. It's slow and wandering at parts. There is a bit of story between the 20 year old sex fantasies. It shows promise for next book(s) in the series.

Decent but all over the place

The story is compelling and quite interesting. The author spends time creating people out of the women on the island and not just resorting to walking kinks. The sex scenes aren't ruined by awkward wording or out staying it's welcome
Good read, good story.
As for the narrators, Woods did a great job reading and voicing the women; Michael, however, was a bit over the top. I appreciate what he's trying to do with emotionally reading and faking chewing, coughing, etc, but it does get a bit excessive.

great story

I really liked the premise of this story. the MC is full of surprises and gets a really cool companion. on to book two, once job Mr. Jacob's. the narration was superb and the little extra sound effects were perfect, nice singing Mrs. Woods.

incredible voice performance and excellent story!

this is a beautiful hot Fantasy story that has it were it counts. The female voices are EXCEPTIONAL, probably the best I've heard in audible. The story is pretty damn good, the male protagonist has a believable background and is actually a pretty nice guy, and the Sex seens are HOOOT as undersea thermal vents.
