Die Ferien sollen beginnen. Tine - eigentlich heißt sie natürlich Christine - findet es überhaupt nicht witzig, dass sie nicht mit ihren Eltern in den Süden fahren soll. Stattdessen soll sie zum ersten Mal allein auf einen Bauernhof, genauer gesagt: auf den "Fohlenhof". Moni hilft dort ihren Großeltern, denen der Hof gehört. Sie findet es genauso wenig witzig, dass Mädchen aus der Großstadt auf "ihrem Fohlenhof" in den Ferien sein sollen. Und reiten wollen die aus der Großstadt wohl auch noch, auf ihren Pferden, empörend! (Findet Moni.)
