Publisher's Summary
Miss Polly had a dolly. A beautiful daughter that she called her Baby Doll. Every day she dressed her in dresses and brushed her hair before they went outside to show off to the neighbors. On the playground one day her Baby Doll talked to a boy, and for one unforgivable second, Miss Polly let herself be distracted by a woman telling her how adorable she thought her daughter was. When Miss Polly finally turned to look for her Baby Doll, she was gone.
Many years later Emma Frost hears about the disappearance of the little girl and learns that she is not the only one to have gone missing from Fanoe Island back in the nineties. As she digs deeper into the story, she soon finds herself entangled in a web of strange and very disturbing events. Miss Polly had a Dolly is a spine-chilling Scandinavian mystery novel from the Internationally Bestselling author Willow Rose. The narrator was awful.

Good with reservations
Essentially good, but too graphic too often for my taste. There are sick people in this story.
Narrator did pretty good, but some of her voices for different characters were not well done.

Good Read
Miss Polly had a Dolly (Emma Frost #2) was another good read by Willow Rose. Miss Polly had a beautiful daughter that she called Baby Doll. Everyday, she brushed her hair and put her in dresses before showing her off outside to the neighbor's. One day on the playground her Baby Doll talked to a boy and was distracted by a woman that said she thought her daughter was adorable. When Miss Polly turned around her daughter was adorable. When Miss Polly turned around her daughter was gone. Emma Frost hears about the disappearance many years later. She also learns that other girls went missing from Fanoe Island back in the nineties. I enjoyed reading Emma Frost's story of entangling the web of strange events. I can't wait to read more by Willow Rose.

Very unusual
I thought this would be more like a detective novel. It was more like a satire. Few of the main characters did not seem like they accepted things that were going on were real. Like Sofia and her father.

This won't be everybody's cup of tea.
First, a caveat: this book isn't for everybody. There is a heavy dose of human trafficking and child abuse. Graphic child abuse. You have been warned.
Now, on the story and what I liked. I enjoyed Victor's arc, and how his undiagnosed condition might be (and quite certainly is) a paranormal ability. I liked how convoluted and complex the plot was. I liked how all the threads come together at the end.
What I didn't like was the probably non-intentional association between been transgender and been a sadistic, out-of-his-head killer. And the fact that said killer remember me a lot to the one on 'The Silence of the Lambs'
Sarah Feenah does a competent job with the narration.
