Publisher's Summary
Miss Polly had a dolly. A beautiful daughter that she called her Baby Doll. Every day she dressed her in dresses and brushed her hair before they went outside to show off to the neighbors. Good Read
Miss Polly had a Dolly (Emma Frost #2) was another good read by Willow Rose. Miss Polly had a beautiful daughter that she called Baby Doll. Everyday, she brushed her hair and put her in dresses before showing her off outside to the neighbor's. One day on the playground her Baby Doll talked to a boy and was distracted by a woman that said she thought her daughter was adorable. When Miss Polly turned around her daughter was adorable. When Miss Polly turned around her daughter was gone. Emma Frost hears about the disappearance many years later. She also learns that other girls went missing from Fanoe Island back in the nineties. I enjoyed reading Emma Frost's story of entangling the web of strange events. I can't wait to read more by Willow Rose.

This won't be everybody's cup of tea.
First, a caveat: this book isn't for everybody. There is a heavy dose of human trafficking and child abuse. Graphic child abuse. You have been warned.
Now, on the story and what I liked. I enjoyed Victor's arc, and how his undiagnosed condition might be (and quite certainly is) a paranormal ability. I liked how convoluted and complex the plot was. I liked how all the threads come together at the end.
What I didn't like was the probably non-intentional association between been transgender and been a sadistic, out-of-his-head killer. And the fact that said killer remember me a lot to the one on 'The Silence of the Lambs'
Sarah Feenah does a competent job with the narration.
