Mille har affundet sig med, at hendes forældre er blevet skilt, og hun er endda ved at blive rigtig glad for at bo på Fyn. Hun har nemlig fået en god veninde, Cille. Cille er både god at ride sammen med - og god til at hjælpe Mille i skolen, når Katrine mobber hende.
Og så har Mille fået en stor og fantastisk opgave: Hesten Plet, som fik et chok under en brand på Milles gamle rideskole, har ikke været sig selv siden branden, den er blevet trist og indesluttet. Mille har altid haft et fint forhold til Plet; måske kan hun ved hjælp af horsemanship hjælpe Plet tilbage til sit gamle muntre jeg... så Plet er flyttet ind hos Milles egen hest, Stjerne. En fortsættelse til Mille flytter på landet.
