Publisher's Summary

A compelling stranger with dark secrets forces a young widow to confront her past in this sexy and suspenseful romance from best-selling author J.T. Geissinger

Megan Dunn arrives in Seaside, Oregon a broken woman with a dream: open a B&B like she planned to do with her husband, Cass, whose life was tragically cut short five years ago. But the old Victorian she bought needs extensive renovations and the one man who can help her - Theo Valentine - takes an immediate and intense dislike to her.

Left scarred and unable to talk after a terrible accident, the reclusive Theo is a brilliant contractor whose plans to renovate the building Megan bought are eerily similar to her own. As their paths cross again and again and Megan begins to see the man beneath the mystery, a part of her that she thought was lost forever slowly starts to reawaken.

But when she discovers unsettling similarities between Theo and her late husband and strange coincidences begin to mount, Megan is forced to confront everything she believed about her past and decide how far she’ll go to get the truth...and if she’s ready for what she’ll find when she does.

Is a second chance at a once-in-a-lifetime love possible, or is a broken heart the cruelest kind of liar?

It was ok

I picked what was going to happen within the first couple chapters, so for me the book was just drawn out angst and sadness, with a brief ending.

A HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL MYSTIC MASTERPIECE

Wow.. and wow.. and wow again.. what a hauntingly beautiful, totally unique, bitter-sweet listen this was.. it’s an emotionally charged unforgettable story of true love that absolutely blindsided me with its greatness. The writing, the unfolding and unfurling of a heartbreaking yet heartwarming story, the cast of wonderful characters, the slow-build to the inevitable explosion and fusion of the romance, the light humor, the sex scenes, the mind f’kery and the mystery and magic of this life affirming love story were all perfectly balanced and blended to make a powerful powerful cocktail of feels.

It’s told from the strong, sarcastic, sassy yet sweet heroine’s POV.. as she tries to start a new chapter in her life by fulfilling her’s, and her late husband’s, dreams of restoring and bringing back to life The Buttercup Inn - a dilapidated beachside Guest House which they’d seen and fallen in love with years previously. But it won’t be the only thing to get torn down, restored and brought back to life.. because the nuclear fusion between her and a mysterious, broody, damaged, mute stranger will be the catalyst in an unforgettably moving mystic love story of lost souls reuniting.

Worth a credit? For me, it’s THE book in a sea of memorable audiobooks.. the one that broke my heart with its words of anguish over a lost love.. and then it healed my bleeding heart with its beautiful scenes of forever love. The narration was, thankfully, perfect.. and this, coupled with a riveting story that grabs you, pulls you in, and compels you to foresake just about everything else in your life, is definitely.. absolutely.. one hundred percent.. don’t even think about it creditworthy.

I listened straight through, cover to cover!

Where does Midnight Valentine rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved this book, it is certainly one of my favorites written by this author.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Midnight Valentine?

Theo, on the porch waiting for Megan to open the door. The ensuing reunion is breathtakingly sweet.

Which scene was your favorite?

Even though I knew many 'miracles' were to be explained, the last 2 chapters were as satisfying as any book I've listened to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was moved so many times while listening to this book, it was impossible to single just one. Honestly, I was captivated throughout.

Any additional comments?

Romance novels are my 'go-to' genre. Often, they are 'just okay'...(like fast food). This book really captivated my interest in it's entirety. Ms. Gessinger is one of my favorite authors, and this book is my favorite of hers..(so far). The narrator does a fantastic job of capturing the voices of the characters. If you love Romance Novels, you will love this one. I listened to the whole book in one sitting....I even listened on ear buds at the grocery store!

Very good but not my favorite. Spoiler alert.

The storyline works better as a movie. Ghost but better because he gets to stay. J.T. Geissinger is very talented, though, so I enjoyed every minute.

Bad Narrator

The story was good but the narrator was horrible. She only got better towards the end.

A strange, melancholy love story

This is a story about fated lovers finding their way to each other thru tragedy. The story was interesting though it did drag in parts, there was not enough actual interaction between the lovers, and the ending was pretty abrupt with an only so-so epilogue. Also the story really needed a duet performance as there were other mail characters- not just Theo. This story is a good candidate for the escape Package.

Not Sure

I almost stop reading this book the beginning long repeating itself. After the first few chapters I understood what was happening but the story was stretched to long for me.

The last couple of chapters were great lived it because of that I give it a 3 star.

Amazing

I adored every second of this book. It's the kind of book that touches your heart and stays with you. I cried with Megan and with Theo for what they'd been through and were going through in the book. They were truly meant to be, theirs was a love that truly would never die! As Theo/Cass said, one lifetime was not enough.
