Loved this book in the end (honestly struggled with the German accent at first. Not quite right) and laughed at all the German nuances. I actually thought EJ knew my partner and her Weihnachten OCD. But Heiligabend is so important and special. So I fully appreciate Merry Weihnachten because it is exactly how we celebrate a mishmash of German and Aussie Christmas. As always a must listen/read.

EJ Noyes has crafted a beautiful sweet, funny and sexy Christmas romance and Abby Craven does a lovely job with the narration. Her German accent (for MC Annika) is not perfect for sure, but honestly I think that just somehow adds to the charm. She has an absolute blast with the very funny scenes when Annika gets drunk at a work Christmas party and calls Evie to come rescue her. EJ is back to her best with some of the dialogue in this book and both her characters are so sweet and charming it's hard not to fall in love with both of them. The novel builds beautifully through the Christmas Season and the last couple of hours (Christmas Eve & Christmas Day in particular) are an absolute delight. Highly recommended, my favourite by the author for some time.

Wonderful as usual. I loved the happy and loving story with only a slight hiccup in the relationship. I was confused by Annika’s upset about Evie’s family situation but after it was explained I kind of understood.

I bought this a couple of months ago, and for some reason I just couldn’t get myself to start it—something was stopping me from diving in. I finally got around to listening, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it.

There was one minor flaw: I honestly didn’t think Abby Cradon had an Achilles heel, but she does. She was meant to perform a German accent, yet for some reason there were traces of an Irish tone creeping in. It felt a bit off, especially since I work with a German colleague who sounds nothing like that. Once you get past the accent weirdness, though, the story flows well.

The epilogue could’ve been longer, but overall it was a solid and enjoyable listen. No idea why I put it off for so long!
