Simply one of the best novels of the Horus Heresy, setting a high standard and a solid foundation for all stories of the Mechanicum and the Adeptus Mechanicus to follow.

Gripping from start to end
As other have said, this story grips you at every moment and is probably one of the best paced of the Horus Heresy novels, if you are doing the whole series you cannot skip it!
