Publisher's Summary

Sara Brighton is a quickly rising culinary star in Savannah after Food & Wine magazine named her restaurant Best New Restaurant of the South, until it burns to the ground in an accident and she impulsively packs her truck and heads for McCall, Idaho, the last place she remembers being truly happy.

Sam Draper, head of the Lake Patrol division of the McCall PD, knows the last thing she needs is another entitled tourist making her life difficult on the water. However, after Sara surprises her by helping her avoid a near professional disaster, Sam teaches her to drive a boat. The chemistry between them is hot and instant, and as the summer heats up, Sam finds herself falling in love until Sara buys her late father’s iconic diner and turns it into the newest hotspot for pretentious culinary tourists.

Can the love Sam and Sara found on the water survive the lingering ghosts waiting for them back on dry land?

Witty and romantic real world story

This book was incredible. It is so nice to read a story with such wit and emotion all wrapped into one. The characters are so deep and intricate. They are fun-loving yet deeply emotional characters who you invest in immediately. This is a wonderful love story that I will tell everyone is a must read.

Really Enjoyed!

McCall was a very good audiobook by an author that's new to me, so I didnt know what to expect. Much better than I'd hoped! The story was great and well thought out and there were sex scenes and more sex scenes and great narration, so... very enjoyable!

Narrator almost ruins it

Not a bad story. The unemotional narration really ruins it for me though. please find a better performer for your stories!

Loved this book

I like Patricia’s writing and I think this is her best book out of the three I listened to.
Leslie McDonel narrated veery well, so all in all this was a pleasure. I liked Sam and Sarah I would have liked to know what happens to Sarah’s sister and Murphy. But I could guess....

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

The primary characters were sponky and fierce but still had some softness to them. The secondary characters were also enjoyable. The entire plot was very realistic and gave me comfort. The butch/fem were firm but adorable at times, I laughed alot. Overall, great book! I would def read this author again!

the narration killed it for me

the story was read by a robot. the author missed ample opportunity for more. not sure if the author is a lesbian and has had sex with a woman. sex scenes same to you have been written by a man.

Excellent!

I really enjoyed McCall. I had already read the book so I was familiar with the story. The part of all of us that wants to live “where everybody knows your name.” Leslie McDonel does an excellent job with the narration.
