About this listen

Nesta's life is thrown into upheaval when she gets involved in charity work thinking that it might be a cool way to meet people (mainly boys). But as her eyes are opened to the plight of the world, she begins to genuinely want to get involved and help others. On top of this, Nesta meets William, a boy who questions her motives. At times, she's convinced he hates her and the feeling is mutual. But Izzie, Lucy and T.J. think it is something more like love.©2005 Cathy Hopkins. Editorial reviews

Mates, Dates, & Chocolate Cheats, performed like a peppy British adolescent by Nicky Talacko, is an audiobook geared for angsty, love-pining teenage girls, and is part of English author Cathy Hopkins' successful Mates, Dates series.

In this escapade, Nesta thinks getting involved with charity is a great way to meet cute boys. Whether it is or it isn’t (hint: it is), Nesta’s motives are called into question by William, who thinks she is selfish. That William also happens to be a cute boy doesn’t hurt.

Will William steer Nesta to see the error of her ways? More importantly, will they get together and go steady? These questions and more of great import shall be answered.
