About this listen

When survival means mastering magic, game over isn't an option.

Karl always played it safe—coding by day, gaming by night. But when a mystical tower drags him into a world where spells are real and death is only a single mistake away, Karl must adapt fast. Thrust into a deadly war, he's forced to recruit allies, conquer dungeons, and defend his tower against relentless attacks. As the stakes climb ever higher, Karl quickly learns that in this game, there's no respawn. If his tower falls, it's game over—for good.

A LitRPG/gamelit progression fantasy adventure featuring stats, abilities, leveling, dungeon delves, magic items, town conquest, MythCraft rules, and so much more!

Only criticism is that, in the first chapter, you are reminded that the MC is naked when he first arrives. Like, a lot. You most definitely are not given the opportunity to forget.

I can't really think of a series to compare it to. the system is not complex, there's a decent time period between Stat readouts and the story is not unnecessarily complex. Also the MC is likeable.

Otherwise, I'm currently binging this book and I really don't want to finish it. I'll be following the author and getting book 2 the moment it's available.

Read it! This book is fantastic
