Publisher's Summary

Giles Wood and Mary Killen - better known as 'Giles and Mary off of Gogglebox' - joined us in the Audible Studios to discuss their debut audiobook The Diary of Two Nobodies. Believe it or not, they have a life outside that Channel 4 smash-hit programme: Giles is a brilliant artist and Mary a prolific author and journalist. They spoke to us about how they ended up on Gogglebox, what the most annoying things about each other are and the unusual term of endearment they use for each other.

A joy to listen to

I love Mary and Giles, it's great to listen to them 'waffle', they are both so authentic and endearing. Now I know more about them I shall be looking for books and art by then. I definitely think a rewilding or day in life of nutties garden show hosted by Giles would be fantastic, something I would definitely watch! Great interview

Wonderful

Will fame ever change them? I hope not.
Long may you both continue being nutty.

Brilliant musings

Would you consider the audio edition of Mary Killen & Giles Wood to be better than the print version?

Not applicable as haven't read the written version. I would say having them narrate the diaries is just perfect you can actually visualise them.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mary Killen & Giles Wood?

Their 'amiable' bickering such as Mary's cough for attention when she is nervous is an affectation according to Giles..,....

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The whole dialogue really. But Giles on Twittersphere recounting their unfavourable reviews when they first were on Gogglebox is loud out loud funny

Any additional comments?

They obviously care deeply for each other and this comes through the narrative. A warm and fuzzy feeling!!

BRILLIANT!

Oh my word, that was hilarious! I wish the interview was longer but I'll console myself by getting their audio book. I do hope they do more books, perhaps even narrate other people's, and that Giles is given his own show.

a must for gogglebox fans

Very good insight into my favourite goggle box couple. Mary is warmer than she appears on tv and giles is the same but more chatty!

Interesting and funny interview

Mary and Giles are open, honest, interesting and funny. Refreshing to hear from a couple in a normal long term marriage not pretending it's all flowers and hearts.

Nutty x 2

I love this couple..do easy to listen too,and such a talented artist. Mary doesn't realise what a great dry sense of humour she has. I would love Giles as an older brother.

Giles & Mary Do Not Disappoint!

Engaging interview with two of our nation's sweethearts, Giles and Mary, from the television series, Gogglebox.
The interviewer has very little to guiding, except perhaps to rein in one of Giles's gripping streams of consciousness, and the flow of the session is enjoyably paced. I have read and enjoyed the writing of these two separately, but together they are a tour de force of marital comedy.
After listening to this, I will now be adding 'Diary of two nobodies' to my Audible wish list, plus a longing to revisit Scoop!

Very entertaining and an easy listen.

Mary and Giles are a pair of lifes ponderers - their pondering is entertaining and is thought provoking. I am looking forward to listening to their book, I imagine it will be such fun.

nice for fans

Just as expected they are still the same as they are on goggle box, unlike some other tv personalities.
