About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
FROM BEST SELLING AUTHOR ANTHONY HOROWITZ.
Susan Ryeland has had enough of murder.
She’s edited two novels about the famous detective, Atticus Pünd, and both times she’s come close to being killed. Now she’s back in England and she’s been persuaded to work on a third.
The new ‘continuation’ novel is by Eliot Crace, grandson of Miriam Crace who was the biggest selling children’s author in the world until her death exactly twenty years ago.
Eliot believes that Miriam was deliberately poisoned. And when he tells Susan that he has hidden the identity of Miriam’s killer inside his book, Susan knows she’s in trouble once again.
As Susan works on Pünd’s Last Case, a story set in an exotic villa in the South of France, she uncovers more and more parallels between the past and the present, the fictional and the real world – until suddenly she finds that she has become a target herself.
It seems that someone in Eliot’s family doesn’t want the book to be written. And they will do anything to prevent it.
'Ingenious' Sunday Times
'Thrilling and compelling with a stunning twist' Daily Mail
'Anthony Horowitz is an absolutely exceptional writer' Daniel Mays

Twists within twists!!
Never disappointed with Anthony Horowitz-clever, thoughtful plot lines and always a twist! Also love that the female lead has been sympathetically portrayed. Not a stereotype. A1 as usual.

Pay attention!
This is book full of characters and plots, you need to concentrate but as usual Anthony Horowitz never disappoints. He is my absolute favourite author and I’m sure this book was a challenge to write. My only complaint is after waiting so long fora new book it’s over so quickly. Thank you, Anthony

Compelling storytelling
This is the best yet, more than a book in a book, or a puzzle in a puzzle, this is storytelling at its absolute finest.

Oh Anthony you've done it again!
This is another brilliant novel by Anthony Horowitz, his ever twisting tale and descriptive narrative of the surrounds is like watching a movie as I listen and exceptional narration as always.

Another Horowitz masterpiece!
A long and complex mystery but one that draws in the listener anxious to find the next event in the storyline. Very enjoyable, occasionally frustrating but always very satisfying.

Brilliant again
Anthony Horowitz is the absolute best in the genre (gentle crime with a literary edge, paying homage to Agatha Christie). His plotting is unparalleled. A hugely entertaining read with multiple twists and layers.

The best of them all!
I love this series, and while the introduction says that this can be seen as a standalone novel, having the background of the first two is invaluable to really engaging with the characters. a great plot, fabulous twists and as usual the story within the story is just as compelling as the main journey.

Really satisfying listen...
Loved the familiar story within a story format, and felt this third book in the series was exceptionally well done. Wonderful narration from both narrators, too!
