When Miss Henrietta Dixon wants something, she finds a way to have it. Someone has to deal with the earl, but Amelia's brother doesn't have the nerve and her mother has fled to France. It's no business for a gently bred young lady, but the Earl of Langley is about to learn that Amelia Fleming is not your typical young lady . . .

Story
Caroline Gray’s third season in London society ends as badly as her first two - no marriage proposal, no suitor, not even a glimmer of an interested prospect. She suspects it’s because she is far too quick to speak her mind to men who are put off by her opinions, her intellect, and her unconventional ideas. Besides, Caroline thinks there will always be next season to find a husband. However, her family’s dwindling income leaves Caroline with only one choice to secure her future: a one-way ticket to sail with the fishing fleet to India, where the son of a family friend waits.

Story
Jasper Sutton—London’s most dedicated scoundrel—needs a wife, and he needs one quickly. He needs one yesterday, in fact. His requirements are precise: she must be capable of mothering the wild twin daughters who have unexpectedly appeared in his life, and so must possess the patience of a saint and the understanding of an angel. Better still if she is plain and has no expectation of a true marriage. He is not about to reform his ways.

Story
Sophy Hadlow does not want to return for another London Season. Her own debut into Society was marred by self-consciousness and her cringing embarrassment every time she was announced as ‘The Lady Sophronia Hadlow’. Yet, much to her dismay, Sophy is back in London to oversee the debut of her younger sister and their wild cousin, Susan Tyneham, who risks ruining both her own and her innocent cousin’s chances of marriage.
Publisher's Summary
She has everything Lord Farnsworth wants, including his manor.
Lord Farnsworth would rather rot in debtor’s prison than sell the one place that feels like home to him - his mother’s manor. That is, until he meets the woman who wants to buy it. Sally Duncan is beautiful, intelligent, and as rich as a baron - a rich baron, not a cash-strapped one like Lord Farnsworth. She’s the solution to every one of his financial problems and is bewitching to boot. All he needs to do is sell her his beloved manor and then charm her to the altar, and the manor will be his again. Simple, right? But nothing is simple when Sally starts tearing apart his ancestral home and renovating it in a way no one would consider tasteful. She is wreaking havoc on everything, but he cannot give up on owning his mother’s estate again, nor can he imagine anyone but Sally as his wife. And so he sticks with his plan. What a horrible mistake.

A Lot of Fun... But...
I enjoyed this one. It was amusing, and the characters and situation were fun. Victoria was an interesting character, and so was the addition of the boxing lessons and Sally's business interests. It's really a 3.5. Just two things dropped the rating from a solid 4. One was that these intelligent and presumably self-aware and nice people kept wondering why they felt/ did/ /said things when it was perfectly obvious. The other was the lack of research and/or editing. This book was set in England with English characters, yet American terms kept creeping in. I'm not English. I'm Australian. Therefore, for me to notice, it must be pretty painful for English readers. Off of. Please!
