Familie Bergmann aus München führt ein ganz normales Leben. Völlig überraschend erfüllt sich am Weihnachtsabend der Wunsch des sechsjährigen Maxi: Der Drachenbär plumpst durch den Kamin und stellt den Alltag der Familie gehörig auf den Kopf.
