Publisher's Summary

Her job is to make his life miserable. His job is to make her submit. Whose heart will surrender first?

Across the country, rebellious BDSM submissives are being systematically kidnapped, one from each club. When her friend falls prey to the slavers, FBI victim specialist Gabrielle volunteers to be bait in a club not yet hit: the Shadowlands.

She finds that being a bratty sub comes naturally, especially when she gets to twit the appallingly conservative Master of the trainees. But she soon discovers he's not as stuffy as she'd thought. Or as mean. She'd expected punishment, even humiliation, but she sure never expected to fall in love with a damned lawyer.

Courtesy of a prima donna ex-wife, Marcus loathes disobedient submissives. When the club owner insists he admit an incredibly bratty trainee, he's furious. But as he comes to know Gabrielle and sees the alluring sweetness beneath the sass, he starts to fall for her.

Unfortunately, Marcus isn't the only one who believes the feisty redhead is a prize worth capturing. And in the world of the slaver, such treasure is worth a hefty fee.

suspense with suspension?

this book was an awesome combination of romance, bdsm, and suspense. With the threat of human traffickers lurking in every shadow, Gabby has to be brave AND bratty, if she wants to keep her cover. Poor Marcus realizes that something is up with her, he just wants to figure it out. when all of the cards are on the table, will they be able to look at the attraction as anything more than a lie? This story was extremely well written and multidimensional. Levine did a phenomenal job with the voices of this world. From Marcus's sexy southern drawl, to Gabby's frightened gasps, and even a New England accent on one of the FBI agents, he's mastered this art.

Yes, "Make Me, Sir."

If you could sum up Make Me, Sir in three words, what would they be?

Bratty, Sexy, Hot.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Make Me, Sir?

When in the Gardens, When Gabrielle would panic, Master Marcus would always be just a voice away to soothe her and bring her back. He seems to have the most Soothing , hot, sexy voice.

Which scene was your favorite?

when he tied her down to shave her pubic area, after his telling her to do so and did not follow his orders just for spite.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Shadowlands, "Make Me Sir" - Where being bratty pays off.

Any additional comments?

Even though these books are downright Sexy, you can't help but laugh at Gabrielle. She has to portray a batty submissive, yet she finds herself falling in love with Master Marcus. Hell, any woman could fall in love with the Masters from shadowlands. Cherish Sinclair is a great author and her Shadowlands Series is wonderful. Having trouble finding anymore books on audio past Make Me, Sir.

Can't wait for the next production

Masters of the Shadowlands series is one of my favorite listens. The shame is that it is fiction because you fall in love with each of the characters including all of their differences. If most real people were as caring as these men and women are the world would be better.

The narrator is fantastic. I listen to 100s of books and I love his smooth bass and baritone. His differentiation between characters even maintaining it book to book make them more enjoyable and consistent. His performances of the intense sex scenes makes them feel genuine rather than seedy. Any woman who is interested in these books and lifestyle would readily be part of the scenes he portrays.

That being said a good narrator is only as good as his material. There is a great storyline with depth and understanding in the writing. Praises to Ms. Sinclair for keeping us wanting a lot more.

I highly recommend all of the Masters books. Start at the first and you will be "submitting" to their world of loving BDSM.

Blushed & cried

I felt like a fly on the wall. Literally blushing like a teenage girl. Then, I cried, ugly tears. And started the cycle over & over again. This has been by far my favorite book in this series so far. Every time the narrator growled I had shivers down my spine.

Take me, Sir

It really doesn’t matter how often I read or listen to books by this author, I always love them. Make me,Sir is no exception. I loved how Gaby went from Make me, Sir to Take me, Sir without losing her witty mouth or spirit. And yes, okay I admit, I’m a tiny bit in love with Master Marcus... oh, who am I kidding: I adore him like every Master of the Shadowlands! Noah Michael Levine is a versatile and talented narrator, I never have to wonder who’s speaking because he’s able to give each and every character their own voice. Whether it’s by timbre, or accent or even timing.

Nail biting

I've read the four previous books in this series and thought they were good so this one I knew was going to be good too, but this is the best one so fare. The storyline was better than any of the other and the characters is great in the way that I got to know them. Also some of the characters from previous books appeared and that made it more interesting. Marcus and Gabi are described in a way that makes you feel their struggles and victories. I lived in this book. Narrator: Clear pronunciation and read with feelings Going to the next one right now.
