I don’t know why everyone is unhappy with the narrator’s pronunciation. While I’m sure after reading this for yourself, you would have the names a certain way in your head, I was expecting something awful based on all the negativity in previous reviews. As a first time reader, I thoroughly enjoyed his delivery! The whole book was fantastic, from characters to storyline, and this was made all the more better by Peter Joyce’s wonderful narration.

This fantasy novel was exceptionally entertaining and captivating, Joyce's reading/performance was rich and clear. I would recommend this audiobook if your looking for something easy to listen to yet entertaining.

Great Book for my first audiobook

I love this book, have read myself several times and the reader is good at voices but shocking at pronunciation. “Th” is pronounced “th” in English not as “t”. Whoever hear of King Artur of the round table? This is how he pronounced all names with “th” and also did the same with “ch”. Not to mention the way he pronounced “Guy” which correctly pronounced rhymes with “buy” not pronounced as Gee like in this version. As a lover of this story this was very annoying.

Like a lot of other reviewers, I thought the narration was ordinary and it's a very 'wordy' book but don't let this put you off because it's an absolutely brilliant story and I'm very glad I stuck it out. This series of books would make a wonderful television series.

I had forgotten how good this series was. This was one of the series that first introduced me to fantasy, after reading/listening to it again I can say I have a greater appreciation for how good this series really is. It is a masterpiece and I loved the depth of the story as well as the depth of the characters within it. I would Highly recommend it to anyone
