I had been planning on reading this book on my kindle but when I saw it was an audiobook, there was no question about whether I would get it. I finished this book all in one go and absolutely loved it. The narration was amazing and definitely added personality to the characters, putting them in a different perspective than I would have in my head. The romance in this book is a slow burn reverse harem and isn't completely obvious by the end of this book. Meg Xuemei X is an awesome writer who has written some awesome series that I have loved reading and can't wait to read the next series. This book almost finished too early, meaning there is a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting to read more. There was definitely no regret in getting this book and if you think you will like it, give it a go and hopefully you will love it just as much as I did. I loved this book!

I really enjoyed the world building in this first book of the series.

Marigold was very entertaining, and it was great how she stood up for herself. It was sweet how taken Hector, Axel, and Zak were taken and possessive of Marigold. Paxton was definitely the villain of the group in this first book.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible.

An exciting series from Meg. It's an exilirating adventure of Mari amongst the Demi Gods, a girl who thought she was human but turned out she is more powerful than any of the Demi Gods army.
It's exciting, fast paced and hot. I've read this series already but I wanted to listen to it as well. Audio books always give you a different insight and understanding of the story. Marnye is excellent as the female characters but didn't do a very good job as the males sorry but she sounded like she was struggling doing the male voiced. Conner Goff he has a swoon worthy voice *grins.

Over all, sounds like a 13 year old had written it. Only spans over two or three days and has a lot happening for that time span. So much unnecessary arguing and erotica. Honestly didn’t expect it to be this sexual. Has a lot of potential to be a really good story but not a fan of how it was executed.
