Publisher's Summary

Radcliffe Academy is one of the most prestigious magical institutions in the Hidden World. Only the most skilled witches and warlocks grace these hallowed halls.

There's just one teeny, tiny problem.

I don't belong here. At all.

First of all, I'm not a witch. I'm 100 percent grade-A, boring, bona fide human.

Second, this isn't even my life. See, I was out celebrating my 21st birthday when I fell into an open manhole. Next thing I knew, I was being rushed to a hospital, and the EMTs kept asking me if I had allergies to unicorn blood.

Oh, and everybody keeps calling me Roxie - which is definitely not my name.

There's obviously been some kind of mix-up, but I can't let anyone here know that, or I'll be in serious danger.

So, that leaves me with only one option: pretend to be this Roxie chick until I can figure out a way back to my world.

In the meantime, I have to deal with Roxie's arch enemy, who might know I'm not her, a Lothario across the hall with no sense of personal boundaries, and a teacher's assistant who's got a crush on me...er, I mean, Roxie.

No problem. I got this. Should be easy, right?

Don't answer that!

Magic Swap is the first book in the Hidden World Academy series, a medium-burn reverse harem story intended for listeners 18 and above, featuring a sassy human who's a little out of her depth and the three men who win her heart.

Human girl in a magical world

I loved this book! I think it is my favorite book by Sadie Moss. Gabbi is a human girl, living a normal life. She is in school and loves to go home to visit her family. On her 21st birthday she goes out to a bar with friends gets drunk and falls down a manhole... But she was up in a parallel universe. Gabbi learns that she has a "twin" in this new world who somehow changed places with her. She has to try to navigate a magical school with zero magic.. its a good thing there are a few men there to help her.

Honestly I loved every second of this book. I am deeply obsessed with the characters and I can't wait to find out what happens next!!

Missing

I love this author and was so excited to dive into another of her books. The hero's were hot and lots of great sexy times but I couldn't get into the story. It just felt like it was missing something. I hated that she was boring except for having a talent to pick up on people's actions/moves. Just became frustrated with the story and wasn't sure where it was leading. The narrator had a great voice.

Awesome!

Okay, I think this is my new favorite by this author and I'm off to buy book 2 to find out what happens, though I really wish it was available in audio, since I love listening to Sarah Pavelec's performance. So, we have Gabi, who is having a night out with her friends from dance team, and she sees what she believes to be a manhole in the ground. Because she's not at the top of her mental game after having some drinks, she falls through it, and the next thing she knows, she's been dropped into a similar, but different, world and everyone is calling her Roxy. Gabi was a great character to read about. She doesn't give up, keeps trying to learn magic, and is so sweet and earnest that the guys can't help falling in lover with her. The guys were awesome and the story has a great mystery to keep your attention. Read this book!

Nice start

Falling down the rabbit hole indeed. Loved the narrator’s take on this story and it’s characters. Was looking for a little more depth from the characters relationships but this was still an enjoyable story. Looking forward to the next in the series. Audiobook obsession.

Good start

Maybe it was one drink too many but Gabbi falls down a manhole. However, maybe it was magic. Because when she wakes up she's no longer in the 'Dull" world but in a parallel dimension full of magic and fantastical creatures. And everyone thinks she's Roxie, a rich witch with powerful magic. She's not Roxie though. She can't do magic in her classes at the Magical Academy and she doesn't know this world's history or the other students. She has to pretend to be Roxie and fit into her life until she can find a way home. While many notice the changes surrounding her, her secret is only discovered by three men; Cross her main competitor, Kasian, her TA, and Theo, the boy across the hall. Instead of turning her in, these three help Gabbi and she finds herself falling for all three.

I enjoyed this story. It had a few plot holes that you had to ignore but overall it was a good start to this new series. The concept of a parallel dimension is fantastic. The magical world seems more interesting than our dull world, sad to say. I mostly liked Gabbi. She handled the switch without a total freak out which was appreciated. I was thankful that she didn't whine and cry over the overwhelming circumstances. I understand that she couldn't have magic and I like the way this was dealt with, however, I wish she could have had a little more power so she could blend in a little better. I just think that it should have been a bigger deal in the book that she went from top to bottom in the school in a week. I also would have liked for her to be able to catch on in the non-magical classes faster. Being so underwhelming at everything dragged down her character for me. I like an intelligent, quick-witted, adaptable female best. The guys were all nicely developed for a first book. I especially like Cross. The author did a nice enough job separating Gabbi and Roxie and making sure that the guys weren't replacing one with the other but I want even more. These girls were so different. Everyone should have noticed the switch but since only these guys know and they all have prior ties to Roxie, I am going to need them to prove their loyalty when the time comes. The ending was fantastic, intriguing. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I like Sarah Pavelec but I do wish that she would lighten up her angst-filled voice. It's over the top and distracts from the story. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Magic listen to a great audio

Book 1 in a new series . The author wrote a strong story that will throw you back to one of your favourite fairytales but with a twist . You will get caught up with the heroine Gabi and her mates .

Gabi Is with her friends on a night out partying , right in the middle of the road Gabi thinks there is a man hole . Next thing Gabi knows she’s in an ambulance, she doesn’t know how or why . The attendant asks her a question about unicorn blood . Gabi thinks he’s joking or she’s dreaming. Once she gets to the hospital, that’s where everything falls together Gabi finds her mates but not just every day mates . Grab this and find out does Gabi go back to her world , does she decide to stay there with her mates or was it all a dream .

Sarah Pavelec Performance was great. Her voice is very smooth , strong and she did all the characters voices perfect

Great audiobook

I have read this book and the narrator really did the character justice. The audio version sucked me in the same way that the actual book did. I will continue to listen to this series!

Watch your step!

This reminded me of 'freaky friday' with a reverse harem twist! I was invested from the first chapter, and just had to know how long Gabbie could keep her 'Roxy' charade going without discovery, and how long she could hide her lack of magic! Cross, Theo & Kassian were all very sweet, hot and everything Gabbie could ever want. It was a great introduction to the series and has me hooked and wanting to know more, what happens next? I need book2!

interesting read

I like Gabbi. I had fun listening to this story. The narration was done really well. The worlds are so cool. I have to say, the cover is amazing. I wish the sequels were available in audio, since lately I can't find the time to just sit and read a book. I highly enjoy this author.

love love love

I absolutely loved this book, it kept me interested from start to finish and left me desperate for more, the narrator reads well but doent have must versatility with her voice, but because the story is so good I really didn't mind it at all. I would highly recommend this book and I cant wait to listen to the next one. audiobook obsessions reviewer.
