Takes a while to get into the rhythm of the story telling but it is worth the wait. Now I can't wait for the next one!

I thought it would be slow and it is but after reading it I now realize it is part of its charm
it is a slice of life progression fantasy, low stacks, woman walking around talking to people, see interesting creatures, defending herself if she must and slowly becoming a powerful mage

it is a calm walk as far as progression fantasy goes
a good reason for the negative reviews is that it doesn't state it is slice of life on audible so if you come expecting non stop action you could be disappointed

Interesting main character. If you ever played Skyrim, but ignored the main quest and just explored and tried to accumulate wealth, you'll probably like this book.
