Publisher's Summary

They call him the Mad Horde King for a reason. Now, she’s his....

Over a year ago, I was ripped away from my human village to serve the Ghertun, a brutal enemy alien race. With the lives of my family at risk, I am tasked to deliver a message to the one place no human has ever gone before: the capital city of Dakkar.

Before I succeed, however, I am captured by a horde king. A horde king of the Dakkari, a merciless barbaric race bred for war and violence that rule over the hostile and unforgiving planet of Dakkar.

And this horde king? He’s the most ruthless and insane of them all - with his scarred face, glowing red eyes, and his wicked, dark grin that hides an even darker past.

I am no one. I am quiet, meek, and fearful...and yet, this fearsome king wants me in his furs. I tremble when he touches me, but he awakens my desire, something I fear I’ll crave...all while I struggle to save my family.

Now, the mad horde king has me in his possession.

I fear he never intends to let me go.

The series just get better with each book

The series just gets better with each book. Davak and Vienne's story was so different to the others. This had a supernatural aspect to the story which just added to the world building. Davak was known as mad as he had a supernatural gift and the other Vorak looked down on him but his horde saw him as the kind king we was. Vienne also had a supernatural gift. The only thing that frustrated me was that Vienne kept a secret essentially a lie from Davak but I suppose that was just how the story had to go. Looking forward to book 4 and seeing where the series go next. I am sure theres going to be a plot change after the ending and the next story will set the scene. The dual POV was just what the book n eeded and tge narrators did a job.

now this was awesome

I must be weird. all the reviews liked the previous 2 books more than this one, but me..this book was so much better..it had Sci fi and fantasy and supernatural..and a more involved plot.
I was a little frustrated at the "words stuck In my throat " line..there was a lot of that.
it was steamier than the previous books but the storyline of the 1st instalment carries through to an end.
The secrets crawled along, however Daviks wasnt really talked about....I was disappointed about that.
Lia was awesome, her voice for the heroine was perfect.
Aaron is a fave of mine so I'm a bit biased.
it would be interesting to have Violas story written but it doesn't look as though Ms Draven has.
so I guess. all said, this book has more substance than the others and I liked it so much more.

Truly alien world building and complex story line

The Horde King series gets more interesting with every book: the truly alien world building sets this alien romance series apart from others. Even more players and character traits are added in book 3 which composes an intriguing storyline. Although I could have slapped the heroin for her shortcomings, she nevertheless depicts an authentic character - as do all the other figures - villain or hero - in the book. This series only compares with Saving Askara by J. M. Link. The narration is outstanding: both male & female narrators have a wide range of intonation and give all characters a distinct voice.

Loved it!

I stumbled onto this series and I am very glad I did. This story is surprisingly complex and very engaging. I love both of the narrators and their portrayal of the characters. Will definitely be listening to the next book!
