SERIES REVIEW: 5 STARS

I’ve had the audiobook of Belong to You (Book #1) for months and never had the chance to listen to it—the busy schedule of a blogger. So last week when I completed my Goodreads Challenge, I decided to read 11 more books before New Year’s Eve and guess which audiobook I decided to listen… *chuckles* You are guessing correctly: Belong to You by Vi Keeland. And of course, as soon as I finished the first book, I had to get the second one, Made for You, because I needed to know how this beautiful and sexy love story would end up.

The Cole Series is the love story of Syd and Jack. They met in the worst kind of circumstances—Syd was heartbroken after her ex fiance cheated on her—, so they decided to have a no strings attached relationship for a week—lots of sex for both of them without expecting more than that, great deal right? In order to protect themselves, they played the game of the 10 questions: They could only ask 10 personal questions for the week they would spend together. But what started as a rebound hook up, ended up being something beautiful. But before they had their HEA, they had to endure the nature of their careers, their families and old relationships.

This books have some great sex scenes *fans self, so HOT*, the development of the characters was great. I was so in love with Jack after Syd even finished her 10 questions. And of course, the plot got me interested all the time in the story. i’m so glad I decided to finally read this series, because I totally FLOVED it!

The narration of Lynn Barrington was perfect. She translated Syd's personality, emotions and desires on point. Her inflections for the female and male voices were notable and very accurate for all the characters, especially Jack. These audiobooks were great companion for the books.

100% Recommended.

Perfect Ending!

Would you listen to Made for You again? Why?

I would listen to both books over and over, I never wanted it to end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Made for You?

The whole book. This book is more than just a romance, its a story about love and dreams and how we can have both if it was meant to be.

What does Lynn Barrington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lynn was excellent, the way she performs the different voices is just outstanding.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The phone call about his father, it just reminds me that life is short and don't regret one day of it!!

Any additional comments?

In this book you saw two people find them self in one another. It shows you that just because you had dreams of one thing, that can change from one simple look. This book was a awesome end to Jack and Syd. I loved every second of the books and I'm very sad to see them go.

More Cole Novels, Please. Fun, Hot & Clever!

This is book #2 in the series...if you plan on reading book 1 - wait to read this review. It may contain SPOILERS.

Sydney experiences butterflies whenever she sees Jack. Jack feels territorial and possessive whenever he sees Sydney AND when he doesn't!. What was supposed to be a fling in Hawaii has turned into a dating romance. Hot and heavy with lots of spice.

In this book we find Sydney and her best friend at on their way to London. They have been invited to open for a pretty hot band. One of the members knew Sydney they were younger and he hit on her. She gently told him that she was not interested in anything more than their friendship. Now, she is touring with him while Jack is home in the States. Will jealousy get the better of him? Will Sydney become attracted to the headliner band member? Will Jack and Sydney able to do this long distance thing?

As they travel from city to city, there are things that Sydney and her friend discover, making them question their talents. Just how were they chosen to open for the successful band? Who is sponsoring/financing the tour? Why were they chosen?

For all but a tiny portion of the book (15 to 30 minutes) I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. There is a lot of emotion, sexual situations and strong language.

It seems like this book tied everything up for Syd and Jack's story. However, there are some strong secondary characters (Syd's best friend) that the author could use to continue the series or create another one. Whatever she does, I will probably purchase it (for the right price). If not I will wait for sale because I have a rule that I will not use the credit on anything less than seven hours.

Lynn Barrington is one of my favorite performers. It is like getting a present every time I start listening to a book narrated by her. In this book the challenge was an Alpha male, a couple of "boy band" guys, Syd and her best friend and several other secondary characters. As always, she is seamless in her performance and I am on the hunt for her next book.

I was given a copy of this book to the same two in exchange for my thoughts, opinions & this review. *I am I not one to give praise because I was gifted a book. I'm EXTREMELY stingy with my stars. Please check out my reviews at audible.com you will see that I am a fair reviewer and this book is one of my current favorites.

Rising singer and former playboy work through relationship issues

This is the conclusion of a two part story of the romance between rising star, Sydney and former playboy/businessman Jack. The prelude to this this story is in the overly long first book Belong to you, which really should have been combined with this book but since some of the basic facts ( though none of the juicy bits) were revealed in this book you could choose to skip book 1. Book 2 begins with the start of Sydney’s European tour with best friend Sienna as opening singers for a pair of old friends who have made it to rock star status. The story winds through the strain caused by separation and the joy of reunion, the couple’s understandable somewhat possessive natures - which is more overt in Jack, concerned parents, competing love interests and supportive friends.
Jack is definitely an appealing main character combining Alpha with sweet devotion and tender caring. Both main characters mature as their relationship develops, though Sydney has a longer way to travel and at times alternates between inconsiderate to obliviously hurtful. Friend Sienna provides a good foil for Syd, a useful sounding board, and boredom prevention.
The book could have used more editing in grammar which made the narration a bit bumpy and occasionally confusing. It definitely would have benefited from dual narration or even better a duet read. The story includes some erotic scenes though nothing over the top and leaves the reader wanting both a novella follow up on the couple, and separate books on the secondary characters -;especially best friend Sienna. This is an excellent choice for the Romance Package and worth a credit for a light romantic read. Hopefully Vi Keeland will produce the hinted at sequels!
