Publisher's Summary
Secrets. Fears. Burning desires. A bear shifter willing to risk everything for love.
There’s not much that can get this grizzly shifter worked up - except a threat to the woman he has secretly loved for years. Then, all bets are off, and he’s willing to risk anything - including the most closely guarded secret of his lonely shifter soul.
Trust issues? Officer Dawn Meli has a few. She’s not ready to rely on any man - especially one who can turn into a raging beast. But strong, silent Hunter, with his steady voice and soulful eyes, calls to something deep in her scarred soul. So much so, that she’s dangerously tempted to let her wild side free. At the same time, she has other problems to concentrate on, what with a valuable gem, a celebrity wedding, and a tropical storm all converging on Maui at the same time. Hardly the time to give in to simmering desire - even if destiny has different ideas.
Aloha Shifters: Jewels of The Heart is a thrilling new series set on the tropical shores of Maui. Each story is a pause-resister packed with action, emotion, and romance! If you like Magnum, PI and smoldering hot, alpha shapeshifters, you'll love these books!
No cliff hangers. Each story is a stand-alone paranormal romance with adult content. This story features strong heroines, alpha heroes, werewolves and shapeshifters, billonaires, military romance, paranormal suspense, action-adventure romance, fantasy romance, and exotic, tropical locales!

Great narration!
shifters, hawaii, law-enforcement, erotica
Another in this series of shifters with military histories living in a compound in Hawaii and coming together with their mate. Each story is about a different type of shifter, but each has a load of baggage and is challenged to convince the mate that he is not a monster, and that he is worthy of her love. See publisher's blurb for hints and clues but there are no spoilers here.
The audio is very good, and Kelsey Osborne is why.

Hunter and Dawn
This book was so good—just like the others in this series! In my opinion, everything Ms. Lowe writes is gold. I have loved every book of hers that I have read. Hunter was an absolute doll! So sweet and gentle for such a large grizzly bear. Until he finally had his mate, he was so sad (his background story explains this). You couldn’t help but feel for him. I like the self-talk of both Hunter and Dawn. Hunter’s bear was so funny. Dawn's self-talk would go between negative and positive (once she found out he was a bear). Dawn and Hunter were hired as part of the security detail for the celebrity wedding of Gina VanderPelt. Gina was a b!tch. Another Spirit Stone comes into play. Ms. Lowe does a great job in writing b!tchy and evil characters as well as the good ones. Jericho (someone from Hunter's past) was invited to the wedding. He was an evil b@st@rd who was out for himself and I love what happens to him. Lilly, although her role was small, was also a great character in this book.
Kelsey Osborne did a great job with the narration. She has been consistent throughout this series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Once again a pleasant experience listening to this
Having read the book, I was really keen to listen to this in audible and it exceeded my expectations.
I have posted a review for this book as well which I will include at the end.
I was able to listen to the story and detach myself from the tediousness of packing up my house, this saved my sanity.
Hunters shyness really comes through in audible and I love his dialogue with his bear even more than in the book.
Dawn’s inner dialogue and slow realisation that Hunter was still the sweet, wonderful person she knew as a young girl comes through so well.
The descriptions of Maui are colourful and make you wish you were there.
I still find it difficult having one voice do all the characters and while Ms Osborne does a great job, even my husband picked up on it whilst listening in the car when the baddie was talking. Little differentiation between characters. This did give us a good discussion matter however.
If you have never read or listened to an Anna Lowe book and love PNR you are doing yourself a disservice by not grabbing any of her books.
BOOK REVIEW
Such a sweet, sweet story. Had a soft spot for Hunter from the beginning.
I believe due to the fact we have known Hunter and Dawn are destined mates from earlier books, this was a bit slow in getting off the ground as we rehashed certain knowledge. Good for new readers, vexing for us following the series.
Once past this point though the story once again carried you along for a great ride.
We have known Hunter and Dawn are mates since book one but Hunter is so painfully shy and tongue tied around Dawn. He is unsure of himself and even his bear due to past trauma.
Hunter and Dawn were friends and nearly a bit more in high school but Hunter took off and joined the forces.
Having outed himself as a shifter to Dawn to save her life, he is feeling depressed thinking she is frightened of him and his bear. His dialogue with his bear was really lovely.
Having to work security for their respective jobs at THE wedding of the century on the island gives them time to renew their friendship and for Dawn to relearn just what a big softie Hunter is where she is concerned. Hunter was just happy to be near Dawn.
Oh Hunter, how I wanted to just cuddle him once we learned about his past childhood horrors, how sad it was.
Dawn was a nice surprise as we knew so little about her apart from she loved to book the Koa Point shifters for speeding all the time. This made everything we learnt about her interesting. Even police officers have background stories, this is one very put together lady even with her past trauma.
Loved the wedding drama, talk about reality TV gone mad. Laugh out loud.
I also liked Dawn’s landlady Lily, what a hoot she was ogling all the men.
We have another Spirit Stone literally fall into our Koa Point shifters lap and didn’t it once again help vanquish the baddie. Loved that bit so much.
This is my honest review of this book.

Winning his mate
So loving this series. I can not wait to read the future books on Cruz and Silas, especially Silas the grumpy dragon. I glad I waited a bit before reading the book. When I first got the book and audio there was not whispersync available. But not to long later it was available for this book.
Now I loved the narrator’s voice but like the previous books she did rearrange sentences and leave words and sentences out. If you are not following along in the book then you will not be able to tell it. For me when a sentence was left out I would stop the book and read the sentence that was left out.
I just loved Hunter. We got to know him little by little in each book. He was a bear shifter that was shy, lonely, and carried some hurt and pain around. My heart really broke for him. Reading about his past I can not imagine what it was like for him growing up. This did not only hurt him but it hurt is bear as well.
I loved how in this series the animal appears to be a separate being living inside the person. You could tell by how they talked to their animal and their animal talked to them. This was the same case in this story. Hunter’s bear talk to him, encouraged him, make his feelings, wants and desires know. He also help guide him on winning their mate.
Officer Dawn Meli was having a hard time after seeing Hunter turn into a bear. This caused alot of emotions to stir inside her. She was scarred of what she had seen. She was also drawn to Hunter and could not get him off her mind.
I had several laughs when it came to Hunter and Dawn working the wedding of this night mare of a person, Regina the nightmare bride was truly something. That woman loved attention. What Hunter and Dawn had witness was almost funny.
Dawn will find herself in danger and Hunter will find a ghost from his past come back to haunt him. I loved how protective Hunter was of Dawn. I love how much he put her first. This romance will really sweep you off your feet. This is a book I would highly recommend.

I was hesitant but the aloha series was great! I am a fan of Donna Grant, Christine Feehan and Suzanne Wright. Now I have a new author to add.

Lure of the Bear
Amazing! This one jumps right where the previous left off and kept on running. These two have definitely always been meant to be and luckily they aren’t going to fight it. Loved this couple!

A Tough Cop and a Grumpy Bear
Dawn is a tough cop on the outside but wounded inside. Hunter is a big bear, literally, but he's hiding his own scars. They've secretly loved each other for years but Dawn is shocked when she sees Hunter turn into a bear. It will be hard enough to over come their pasts, and Dawn's fear, but can the cop in Dawn understand that sometimes you have to work outside of the law?
I love Anna Lowe's books and they continue to improve with each one she writes. I love how the end of each book gives you a glimpse into one of the main characters in the next story.

The grooms missing and the bride is a monster.
Shifters, love, and a kitten.
This story is about secret love of both a shy gentle grisley bear and a native stunning Hawaiian policewoman. The past is revisited, friends play cupid and shifters fight togeather for good against evil. All on a paradise island during a wedding rehearsal. Recommended read.

Bear'ly made it in time.
Poor Hunter, such a tragic past. Without spoiling anything, this book has such a heartbreaking past for both main characters. Tragic circumstances brought this pair closer at a youngish age, they were took in by the same old woman who took them under her wing.... Not literally. Dawn is a fiesty, headstrong but determined police officer. Hunter is a Shy slightly awkward Bear Shifter, both are still reeling from the latest discovery. Not only that but they have the insufferable Regina to deal with, the bride from hell. Talk about bridezilla, she's an absolute horror. Things get even more complicated as the story continues, spirit jewels and unknown enemies. It is never lacking for fun in this book, I really enjoyed it. The steamy bits had my ears turning red, but the romance is so beautiful. The storyline is spectacular from beginning to end, though I still loved Boone the most. I'm a huge fan of Anna lowe's books, all of her series's are interesting and have incredible characters.

All about the bear
Review of audiobook. Lure of the Bear is the third book in the Aloha Shifters series. Set on the tropical island of Maui, book three follows Dawn and Hunter’s story. I've had a soft spot for Hunter from the moment he was introduced in book one, and I've been dying to know how things would play out in their story. This book is my favourite in the series (so far)! I was drawn into the story from the very first paragraph. Through Kelsey Osborne’s phenomenal narration, I could feel Hunter’s pain and anguish as if it was my own. Hunter’s bear is a big softie, almost childlike in temperament, but he is still alpha enough to protect Dawn when necessary. Although Dawn is pretty capable of looking after herself!
With an amazing setting and lovable characters, this book has the thrills, humour, steam and HEA I’ve come to expect from Anna Lowe’s books. Highly recommended.
I was given a free copy of this audiobook, and I'm leaving a voluntary review.

Chemistry!
The chemistry between the H/h was off the charts! I loved how they had grown up knowing each other. I'm glad it didn't take her long to get over her shock of what he was and remember what a great guy the hero is. It was pretty cool how all his friends kept trying to help get them together. Very funny! I liked how it was so different from the previous stories in this series yet still very much connected. Anna Lowe writes some beautiful and intense love scenes. Always perfectly done. This author has quickly become a favorite of mine. The narrator was a perfect pick for this audiobook. Can't wait for the next book, I am hooked!

This is one of my favourites
Book three of Jewels of the Heart series by Anna Lowe and narrated by Kelsey Osborne
Hunter is a grizzly bear shifter and at the end of book Dawn see Hunter shapeshift while in a fight where the bad guy was going to attack Dawn.
Dawn is a native from Maui and lived there her whole life and since Hunter has come to Maui both Hunter and Dawn have been dancing round each other until Dawn sees Hunter shift and kill someone.
I love that both Hunter and Dawn have been dancing around each other for along time being very polite and civil but when they are partnered together at a big celebrity wedding, Dawn realises Hunter isn’t a mindless killer but her hero that actually saved her.
While partner they realised they work well together and eventually sparks fly and things heat up quick.
This I one of my favourite book so far mostly because Hunter is so loveable and Dawn does compliment him perfectly.
Kelsey Osborne is a fantastic narrator and does a awesome job expressing the difference between characters especially the Special Forces team like Cruz and Hunter
Great HEA

Who doesn’t love a bear.
I am glad Hunter got his happy ever after. Let’s be fair I am not giving the ending away as Anna’s stories always end happy.
Dawn and Hunter had feelings for each other from a young age and never acted upon it until they work security together. Another stone has awakened from slumber and it up to these pair to sort themselves out and secure it.

Gentle giant
Format: audiobook
This is Hunter’s story and so far the one I’ve enjoyed the best. Quiet, sweet gentle giant Hunter has got used to hiding his other side, when he had no choice but to reveal his bear to protect officer Dawn Melee he’s wracked with guilt and knows she’ll never accept what he is and leaving him devastated because he’s known for years that she’s his mate.
With another spirit stone waking Hunter and Dawn are going to have to fight for their lives.
A thrilling and riveting story that has equal amounts of excitement and passion to keep you enthralled till the end.

Beautiful
Oh man! I've said it several times already but the Anna / Kelsey partnership works so incredibly well.
This audio book is a 5 star word for word pleasure to listen to. It's funny, intense, action packed and super hot. Gorgeous little gems galore - the kitten, the well thought out names, to name a couple (I don't like to share spoilers). The goodies as are fabulous and the baddies are so dislikeable! Hunter and Dawn are just perfect and so is the rest of the gang. Can't wait for the rest to find their HEA too.
