Publisher's Summary
Children's author and science communicator Lucy Hawking, daughter of Professor Stephen Hawking, invites listeners to the launch of a new space age. Fuelled by commercial finance and looking for new horizons, this is a revolutionary change from the old era in which superpowers competed for supremacy in space.
Lucy is accompanied by Peter Diamandis, founder of the XPRIZE, which kickstarted the privatised space, and Kellie Gerardi, a spaceflight industry professional and trainee astronaut, as well as visionaries at the forefront of this new age of space travel.

Thought provoking
A very thought provoking listen. I think we should send the Polititians up into space to look back on the Earth so they can really appreciate it, and realise we truely need to be united . It government's spent money on space science instead of trillions on war imagine where we could be by now.

A pleasant listen, a look at modern space flight
Knowing Lucy has written childrens books, at first glance I thought this was in a similar vein with the cover art and even title suggesting a similar audience (I know, never judge a book by its cover!). However it turned out to be an informative summary of where we are at in 2020 regarding space flight. So much has changed since the moon landings and in particular the last decade regarding the shift from goverment funded programs to private firms and this book covers this change as well as looking at other aspects going forward. Should we venture to the stars to advance the human race? And who will do that for us? Overall an interesting short listen that, although it doesn't delve into too much into detail and technical jargon, takes a step back to ask questions about the evolution of space flight.

Sets a high standard for Audible freebies
Assumes no knowledge of each topic and yet reaches the frontier of current knowledge rapidly without getting bogged down. Lucy is a very good science communicator notwithstanding who her dad was. Fascinating range of episodes which progress at a satisfying pace. I could definitely listen to more from Lucy and this style of production.

Very informative and entertaining
I have a Greta interest in space and this latest set of talks by Lucy are a fascinating look at areas of future space such as mining and laws. I would have gladly paid for this but as a free download this is certainly should be high on anyone’s list interested in the furniture of space. Well written, very well delivered in a informative and entertaining style.

excellent series
A great series discussing man's options for space exploration, through the eyes of Prof. Hawking's daughter. An interesting discussion on how the private sector has a place in this
