Publisher's Summary

It's not every day that you get to move to New York City and reinvent yourself. I was tired of being boring, predictable Emma Mills. I was convinced that my life would be totally different in the Big Apple.

And I was right.

Jackson Reynard was irresistible and I had no plans on resisting him. Jackson was the epitome of tall, dark, and handsome and I was more than happy to let him sweep me off my feet. I expected a summer fling but instead I got a heart-stopping romance. I realized that I had met the love of my life. I just didn't realize that sometimes love isn't enough.

It's hard enough getting over an ex. It's even harder when he becomes Hollywood's next biggest heartthrob and his face is plastered on every magazine cover. But the hardest part? The hardest part is when he thrusts himself back into my life and won't let go of the past.

I survived losing the man I loved the first time. I don't think I'll survive it again.

Very Enjoyable!

Any additional comments?

Great listen! Loved every minute of it! I surely lost lots of sleep time because I could not stop listening. If you like anxiety ridden stories this one is for you. The narrator did a marvelous job narrating the story.

Ugh!!! Don't waste your credit!!!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A plot and a better narrator. Emma got on my nerves!

What didn’t you like about Emily Durante’s performance?

Omg!!! Her voice? And her giggles, please stop!!!!

I wish I had left this one behind...ugh

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Who might enjoy this book? I don't know, it is hard for me to imagine anyone "enjoying" it. I listened to half of this book and it was so bad I stopped listening and downloaded other books. I finally ran out of credits and decided to go back and finish. It was painful. The narrator was just as bad as the story with all her strange giggles.

What could S. H. Kolee have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The only way this book could be more enjoyable is if it actually had a plot.

Would you be willing to try another one of Emily Durante’s performances?

No, I will put her on my do not listen list.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

It made me sick to my stomach becuse it was so stupid and most of the time I could say the words outloud before I heard them because the story was so predictable. If you are really unintelligent you might like this story.

So over the constant miscommunication

I struggled to finish with the constant angst and miscommunication. It was ridiculous. This could have been wrapped up in the first 25% of the book.

Could not finish it

I was very interested at the start of this book but when the two main characters met and how quickly they began to shag without any build up or 'courtship' really put me off and the sex wasn't that hot either. Just couldn't continue reading. It felt very flat and empty and the characters difficult to relate to. Give it a miss.

Nice story, steamy scenes

I have listened to this audio, carefully and I am still thinking what review should I give it. I liked the overall story. There are some intense moments, but there is not great storyline behind it. It's a bit predictable, which makes it easy listening. No great suspense.

I think a major downside is the narrator. I felt she didn't really put her soul into it at times. The dialogues where nicely done. The male voice OK, but during the narration of the novel it was plain flat. Sometimes I found it difficult to pay attention to her.

If it was a real book in my hands, I would probably have enjoyed it better.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad story. You will still enjoy it. I just wish the narrator did a better job.
