Publisher's Summary

At the ripe old age of 29, Veronica Mason has given up on the very idea of love. After a childhood blighted by addiction and foster homes and an engagement that ended with no reason given, she's built walls so big it would take dynamite to destroy them.

Then she meets Julie, and those walls begin to crumble.

At the age of 22, Julie Summers is ready to embark on her last year of college. Positive, happy-go-lucky, and drop-dead gorgeous, Julie has the world at her feet. And then she meets Veronica. She's instantly bewitched by her beauty and wants to be the one who chases all her shadows away.

As both women learn more about each other, will it bring them closer together or drive them apart?

Tear jerker

Where does Love Is Eternal rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This by far was one of my favorite audiobooks I’ve listen to in quite some time. It made me laugh it made me cry quite a bit and it made me love every single one of the characters

What did you like best about this story?

The backstory of Veronica and her trust issues

Have you listened to any of Lori Prince’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I’ve listened to most of the LGBT books that Lori prince has narrated and I love them all but this one by far was the most emotional I’ve heard her get on any book I’ve listen to. She always does a really good job of depicting the different voice inflections but this book she was able to convey the emotions what was being said better than most movies I’ve seen

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it all in one sitting

Any additional comments?

I received this book free of charge by the narrator in exchange for an honest review

Great modern day love story!

In listening to this audiobook, I found a love story that contains a roller coaster of emotions I have felt in my own relationships before. I found myself constantly wanting to hear more and the narrator did a fantastic job of portraying the story. I definitely recommend it!! 💜

Forever is a long time

As always L. Prince can make me laugh and bring me to tears of heartbreak. Good story of overcoming the odds of lost in yourself. But if you just let someone in, then maybe there is hope. Is the meaning I get from E. Sharp words.

Lori was amazing

Yes the tear wrenching conversation was amazing with Lori. I have listened to her many times but nothing was like this. If I wasn’t at work I would of been balling my eyes out. Travis and Alice almost broke me and the conversation between the girls finished me. Great story

Open the top two buttons.

I really like the narrator. This is a more emotional book, with a mix of highs and lows. Lori does the edge-of-the-seat-excitement great as well as the teary conversations. I think the first person narration worked great as she became the main character.

Julie is a college student, a little shy and has a great close relationship with her father. Travis is a likeable supportive male character. They meet when she needs help moving furniture, and they become best friends. He's completely in love with his wife, always talking about her with a goofy smile every chance he gets. They go out to lunch at an 80s restaurant and Julie is crushing on the waitress. Travis nudges julie to talk to her, and they soon start dating. The first half of the book is largely fluff, the various cute things they do together, from skating, barbecuing, and partying. SEMI-SPOILER-warning: it hits a sad point with a side character, so it's not all fluff. As you can guess from the title, julie and veronica do end on a happy note. There's a scene where they're caught speeding, so veronica quickly unbuttons julie's shirt in an attempt to flirt with the cop. You can guess what the older female cop thought of that.

Communication tends to be a source of conflict among characters when they don't share their feelings. A few points of conflict build up without discussing it, so the bubble bursts all at once. The relationship is a bit more one-way, with julie pursuing veronica. I didn't like how julie tried to take advantage of a bad situation, but you gotta give her credit for trying. As I mentioned earlier, the sad point was totally not what I wanted :(

Good Story

I enjoyed this book, and I know there is a book 2 and 3 in this series, but they aren’t on audible yet. So I hope that they will become available soon, so I can carry on the story. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with is there is an epilogue at the end of this book, but there was no narration to this section, which means if you weren’t following along with the kindle book you wouldn't have known there is an epilogue. Which I think the epilogue is needed and it was very good and makes me want to read book 2. As if it had just ended like it has with audible I was a bit like huh, that’s the ending. But i did enjoy the book. It was well narrated by Lori Prince, as always.
