About this listen

People often think of Job sitting on the ash heap, his life in shambles. But how did he get there? What was Job's life like before tragedy struck? What did he think as his world came crashing down around him? And what was life like after God restored his wealth, health, and family?

Through painstaking research and a writer's creative mind, Mesu Andrews weaves an emotional and stirring account of this well-known story told through the eyes of the women who loved him. Drawing together the account of Job with those of Esau's tribe and Jacob's daughter Dinah, Love Amid the Ashes breathes life, romance, and passion into the classic biblical story of suffering and steadfast faith.

Wonderful! Wonderful! So good to read some true Christian Romance. No women dropping into dark places because they refuse to get over things from their past, but pure women fully capable of protecting their men and their families, who stand for truth and honesty above all else, who worship and love their God, who hear God’s voice because they’re listening for it.
Please more of these women. More of their stories. As you can tell I’m really enjoying Mesu Andrews books. I hate secrets and love to watch/listen when God exposes liars. Unforgiveness and bitterness are ugly!
Well done Mesu Andrews you wrote great storyline and well done to your narrator. She was very good.

Fantastic Christian Romance true to God’s word.

A well researched and written story. The author has written with heart & depth, drawing on the strengths and weaknesses of the various people, to bring the Biblical account of Job alive in a way I’ve never read it before. Although it was a little slow to start with, it soon riveted my attention and became very hard to put down. This is the first book I’ve read by Mesu Andrews, but she has now become a favourite author and I am looking forward to starting another of her books.

Another dimension to Job’s life

Love how this book gives Job place and position…not just some random person in ‘who knows what era’ but a real person with family connections to Abraham. It has opened up my eyes to search the scriptures for other such treasures.

An intriguing read

I loved the historical background work that went in to the story. It made the story of Job so much more a live and meaningful. Beautifully read, I loved listening to this.

Job, his story.

Having been bought up on stories from the Old Testament I had despaired after much reading in the last 7 yrs of finding a great fictitious story that truely supported the Bible. I have already loved many of Mesu’s books but this one capped them all off. I have always known the story of Job but have never heard it told with such richness and truth. It was a blessing to my ears and had all the earmarks of good fiction. Thank you Mesu!

Praise and thanks to Mesu Andrews
