As always well developed story, great quirky characters, very sad to say goodbye to this amazing series. For years there has been yet another wonderful adventure. Hoping something else will spin off from the series.

Having read or listened to this whole series, I was sad to leave the well developed characters. This final instalment bought together a number of story lines from previous books in the series. Hope the author continues to write his quirky stories

The pace and the vigour of this latest Department Q was every bit as good as the previous books. Unfortunately it sounds like Carl has been put out to pasture but we have enjoyed the trilling ride with the Grumpy Cop, the worst coffee making cleaner, the ever evolving secretary and Gordon. If it's the last novel in this series then it's sad to see them go. Every year or two I've eagerly waited for the next instalment. Amazing writing.

As usual Jussi Adler Olsen has given us another brilliant Dept Q story. No complaints here.
The only complaint I have is with the person reading the novel. It’s a Danish story, with Danish characters set, largely, in Denmark. So why does this person keep using variations of accents from the UK!!!? It’s just weird and difficult to listen to. Surely there’s someone in Denmark that speaks English who could read this 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you Jussi, thank you Steven - brilliant, again! So many seriously believable characters (I will never forget Assad!), such clever plot twists. And the narration by Steven - first class! And what a sweet twist at the end.

I have loved every single one of the Department Q books and this was just as good as the others. Adler Olson’s books are superbly crafted and incredibly absorbing. It was like being back amongst old friends with these characters I know and love.

A fitting finale, but oh my, we will really miss Karl, Assad, Rose and Gordon. They have become like family to us, and Stephen’s narration is excellent. We have enjoyed every single audio book. Thank you so much Jussi AdlerOlsen. You’re a gifted writer. Please keep writing even though Department Q has finished.
