Barbara Caruso's rendering is wonderful. She skillfully combines the voices of a fairly large cast. Just as splendidly, she presents the text in an old-fashioned style, tone and pronunciation befitting the setting of the story. The four sisters, though each unique, must be a challenge even for several voices, but Caruso's solo voice always enthralls. The performance is worthwhile no matter what previous experience with Little Women the listener has.

I really enjoyed this great old fashioned story. I would recommend to teenage girls on wards. Living in a house full of boys & action movies etc, this was a lovely change. Not a machine gun in sight!

I have watched the movies a few times but they are nothing in comparison to the books, truely a classic that should be read by any book worm, or classic literature lover.

I am thoroughly in love with this story, I've laughed and cried and even got frustrated with the characters. The language was so refreshing in comparison to how people talk these days that it truly brought the romance back for me. I'm so glad I found audible or else I'd never get to "read"

Wonderful book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although, the chapter numbers in the app (17 chapters) didn't match up with the spoken chapters (around 40 chapters), so if you lose your place it can be hard to find where you were up to.

A Classic

I’m not a fan of “The Pilgrims Progress” and parts of this story weighed in on me through these references. However, that was how life for many was back in that era.

Once that part was over the pace picked up for me. Fritz was a wonderful addition to the many characters. However, there is so much in this tale that it’s hard to pick out a few of the special moments but one of them was so special. I became lachromyse with the passing of Beth.

I could go on but it is best for readers or listeners to form their own opinions.
