Arthur Krasilnikoff (1941-2012) var uddannet filminstruktør på Den danske Filmskole. Han debuterede i ’66 med novellesamlingen "Skyggehunde" og har siden skrevet børne- og ungdomsbøger og en række romaner. "Lindas tid" udkom oprindeligt i 1985.
"Lindas tid" er egentlig anden del af en dobbeltroman. Sammen med "Som landet ligger" fra 1983 udgør den dobbeltværket "Vandmærker". Først i 1999 udsendte Krasilnikoff dem i deres egentlige tænkte form under den samlede titel "Vandmærker".
