Darin wird erzählt, was für ein liebes, aufgewecktes und lustiges Kind Lilo ist. Es wird aber auch nicht verschwiegen, dass Lilo gerne Unfug macht. Das jedenfalls denken Lilos Eltern.
Tatsächlich nämlich kann Lilo gar nichts für die tagtäglichen Unsinnigkeiten, die zu Hause passieren. Ob es nun die Knete in der Steckdose, die Zahnpasta auf der Türklinke oder der Stift im Toilettenbecken ist, all diese Streiche veranstalten immer die Dubties - kleine Koboldwesen, an die niemand wirklich glaubt. Außer Lilo. Als die Dubties dann auch noch im Urlaub auftauchen, gerät plötzlich alles durcheinander...
