تدور أحداث الرواية عام 2020، حول ثمن معرفة المستقبل، تمتد إلى المستقبل ثم تعود إلى الماضي لتجتمع كل الخيوط فى حجرة داخل مصحة للعلاج النفسي يمكث فيها رجل قادر على قراءة أحداث الماضى والمستقبل، قبل أن يجبر نفسه على الصمت.
