Ingeborg Struckmeyer ist ein Kind des Ruhrgebiets. Nach Abschluss ihres Studiums in Münster und Köln war sie als Diplom-Bibliothekarin tätig. Seit 2004 lebt sie in München. In den letzten Jahren erhielt sie mehrere Kurzgeschichten- und Kurzkrimipreise. Sie hat das Märchen Die gläserne Prinzessin sowie drei Kurzkrimibände veröffentlicht: Tödliche Rache, Todesschreie und Todesängste, alle im Geest Verlag. Gemeinsam mit Friedlind Lipsky schrieb sie unter dem Pseudonym Frida Mey die beiden schwarzhumorigen Kriminalromane Manchmal muss es eben Mord sein und Radieschen von unten (Aufbau Taschenbuch Verlag).
