Story
Greer Kirshenbaum, PhD. is a neuroscientist, doula, and parent. Her work began with the goal of developing new treatments for poor mental health; she dreamed of creating a new medication to address conditions like anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic stress. Over time, she realized that science had already uncovered a powerful medicine for alleviating mental health struggles, but the answer wasn’t a pill. It was a preventative approach: when babies receive nurturing care in the first three years of life, it builds strong, resilient brains.

Story
Many parents struggle with sleep when their children are babies - and there are hundreds of books on the subject - but what happens to night-time parenting when you have a toddler or older child and the strategies that may have worked for your baby no longer seem to be helping? Older children's sleep is often complicated by factors which cannot be addressed simply by optimising a nap or tweaking the bedtime routine, and parents can feel frustrated and confused when their older children continue to wake at night or find it hard to settle.

Best Sleep Book
This book allowed me to parent the way that intuitively felt right for me. I needed someone to tell me it was okay to parent in this gentle way and that I didn’t need to sleep train. There is so much noise out there about spoiling your baby and making them over dependent on you. It can be hard to know what is right. Lindsey has given me the confidence to trust my gut and parent in a responsive and loving way day and night.
