Publisher's Summary
Lenore von Erickson, daughter of a wealthy baron, wants nothing more than to spend time at the docks along the sea. Her father, however, has other plans and intends to marry her off as quickly as possible in a business arrangement that, Lenore suspects, has little to do with her own happiness. When her intended husband gives her a magical coin and tells her she can escape this life, she realizes she has little to lose.
Soon, she meets Lyric, a female pirate who valiantly tries to fight her attraction to Lenore. Once Lenore gets close to Lyric, she, too, can't help the feelings growing inside of her. Their mutual attraction is too strong to fight, and these clever, beautiful women will have to navigate the seas of romance together, or drown beneath the raging waters of societal expectations.

Well written short story
I was actually surprised at how well written this story was. The cover picture I felt cheapened it a bit and nearly put me off but the wording and imagery were quite beautiful. It fowed easily and I loved the narrator's voice, although not all the words and names were pronounced correctly...eg RowAn is a girl's name RowEn is the male equivalent. Could have been deliberately androgenous but I doubt it. I also think this particular story would read better in a scottish accent given that it was set there and most of the characters seem to be scottish, but I do live the narrators voice and will be seeking more stories read by her. My only other comment would be that it seemed a bit rushed, particularly the ending, but would definitely like to read another book by this author especially if there were more chapters.
Thanks and well done :-)
