Da qualche anno si parla di "rinascimento nucleare" poiché questa fonte sembra rispondere non solo alla crescente domanda di energia mondiale, ma anche all'esigenza di produrre elettricità senza emettere gas serra.
Ma è vero che il nucleare conviene e può contribuire allo sviluppo sostenibile? Oppure il rischio di emissioni radioattive e il problema delle scorie da smaltire ce ne devono tenere lontani? Le risposte a queste domande sono fondamentali anche per decidere se convenga al nostro paese riprendere la strada interrotta più di venti anni fa, dopo i tre referendum del 1987.
