About this listen

A heart to protect. A debt to repay. A game to win.

After being swept up in the magical world of Caraval, Donatella Dragna has finally escaped her father and saved her sister, Scarlett, from a disastrous arranged marriage. The girls should be celebrating, but Tella isn't yet free. She made a desperate bargain with a mysterious criminal, and what Tella owes him no one has ever been able to deliver: Caraval Master Legend's true name.

The only chance of uncovering Legend's identity is to win Caraval, so Tella throws herself into the legendary competition once more - and into the path of the murderous heir to the throne, a doomed love story, and a web of secrets...including her sister's. Caraval has always demanded bravery, cunning, and sacrifice. But now the game is asking for more. If Tella can't fulfill her bargain and deliver Legend's name, she'll lose everything she cares about - maybe even her life. But if she wins, Legend and Caraval will be destroyed forever.

Welcome, welcome to Caraval...the games have only just begun.

That was amazing.
The characters were interesting and the twists and turns were fun. Although the game was different, I really enjoyed it.
I also enjoyed the narration.
I can't wait to get into Finale.

Wow

Story line disappointing after Caraval which I really enjoyed . This was a bit disjointed. The fight with the fates was very odd & unlikely & there was lots of gazing into each other’s eyes … for all of the characters. I nearly gave up

Not as good as Caraval ( book 1)

I loved Caraval, but I loved Donatella even more. Though, the second book left me reeling with more emotion than the first, so I don't know what was more impacting; the characters, or the events 🎪✨

So much better than the first book!

I liked this book more than the first (which I really liked) this one was less confusing and made more sense. I could see the plot twists coming but I think it's because of caraval, so now I know how th author thinks. An amazing story with great narration

Better than Caraval

The story continues, still captivating but not as the first book. I still love it though!

Almost as good as Caraval

Loved it!

I liked both books for different reasons. This had a very different feel to Caraval for me. There weren't the same amount of plot twists as the first and it wasnt as suspensful. With this I pieced together the majority before it was revealed unlike the first book. However, I did still enjoy the storyline and keen for the Finale. What I do like better about this book is the main characters. I much prefer Tella to Scarlett along with the other main characters which made it more enjoyable in that sense. I liked how it gave updates and glimpses of Scarlet and Julien, but I didnt have to hear too much detail as i found them far less interesting in Caraval. Overall a good read :)

Interesting
