About this listen

Resigned to living a sexless, loveless life, Doctor Nathan Tierney knows something is missing. In a rash decision, he leaves his life-consuming job at Mass General Hospital, Boston, to be the small-town doctor in Belfast, Maine. With the job comes a house, and with the house comes a handyman-painter.

Trent Jamieson, a nomadic artist, and his dog Bentley, are offered free accommodation for the few weeks he fixes up the hospital-owned house. Nathan is transfixed by this free-spirited, undeniably gorgeous man.

Confused but amazed to feel any kind of attraction - much less to a man - Nathan convinces himself to put aside any preconceived ideas, and allows himself to just feel. As their attraction for each other grows, one man learns to live, the other learns to love. But just who is teaching who?

A beautifully moving story

A wonderfully moving story between two passionate, yet fragile men who find solace in each other. A beautifully written book. I also adored the narration by Nick J Russo.

Story of Nathan and Trent

This is a roommates to more small town romance, featuring Nathan Tierney and Trent Jamieson, and is a standalone book.

Nathan is a doctor who is burnt out from working the ER in a big city. An opportunity for a tree change see him moving to a small town hospital. When he arrives, the assigned house has an unexpected roommate, an artist named Trent.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was low angst, sweet, and insta-attraction gay awakening, steamy, lots of spice, great relationship development, cute small town folk, supportive family and a swoony HEA.

It was free on Amazon the other day, and seeing it was NR Walker, I jumped on it. I’m glad I did, it’s worth the time.

Things to expect in this book are:
Standalone
Single POV / fast paced
MM small town romance
Roommates to more
Doctor x Artist
Insta-attraction
Forced proximity
MC with dimples
Dog lovers
Gay awakening
All the firsts
Lots of spice & dirty talk
S*x toys
Calls him baby
Small 3rd act breakup
Living with grief
All in
Swoony HEA
