Missler however explicitly caters towards those who believe in Jesus and the Christian God. This made it pretty much a non-starter for me. He spends the whole first hour confirming his own biases as a means of attempting to demonstrate the veracity of Christianity. Given that I was looking for a simple description/explanation of the stories of the NT and how the document holds together historically, and not an evangelical trying to convince me that his mythology is in fact a faithful representation of reality, I had to return this one.
So if you're interested in the Bible purely for its literary qualities, and not as a vessel of some sort of divine Truth, you're probably gonna want to look elsewhere.
More dogmatic than scholarly
