Sure, this is not an entertainment audiobook, but....
I’m an amateur bass fisherman who knows the basics, but need to learn much more to become even a simply consistent bass fisherman. All the unique qualities in my specific body of canal water in Central Florida has nothing to do with my review if this book.
The first thing that blew my grammar educated mind through yers of Catholic school sadistic nuns ‘teaching’ all of us from age 5 through 13 made certain we learned the proper use of every word they chose to teach us. One of these many English grammar lessons covered words that are BOTH singular and plural. And within the first five minutes of this books, the narrator uses the words ‘fishes’ time and time again. This is wrong based on how I and those in my age group were taught. We were taught back in the early 1960s that the word fish works like this......1 fish, 2 fish, etc. NOT EVER fishes! Yet here it is in this book! Have all the dictionaries and American education changed what is proper grammar while I was living my life over the last 58 years? On YouTube the younger fisherman use words such as ‘casted’ which should be simply ‘cast’ in both present and last tense. Many say words that don’t exist officially in the English language such as ‘caughten’, basses which doesn’t have this plural. And so much has become so tolerant of stupidity and poor education with the majority of the younger generation more concerned with learning text abbreviations and emojis than how to type or speak correctly and not sound like an uneducated individual. And I know this will continue because no one tells anyone they are speaking words that don’t exist. I’m considered a grammar nazi which I find quite offensive. Excuse me if I happen to have actually learned what I was taught and believe everyone in America should feel the same way.
And in just the time I’ve spent typing this review, this book has become quite pointless since it’s now talking about places around the world that have great bass fishing outside the USA. How is this supposed to what the title promises? Luckily Audible allows for returns. He just said Texas has great weather and great people. Seriously??? And then Lake Conroe was not mentioned in the list of places to fish for bass. Wow is this author horribly uniformed and a publishing company paid him for this piece of garbage???
