Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Its quite sad to know this is written pre her husband passing away because she talks so fondly of him and so much. Overall I found it really uplifting to listen to, so much so I shared it with my sister via the share this book thing - she's in need of a bit of professional peppin' up at the moment juggling being a mum and career focused, this does the job.. I mean why not learn from the best right?

Read this is you want to read a " female version of the Elon Musk/Steve Jobs book " Failing that just listen because its ace, and listening to things that are ace, is ace.

I found this book particularly helpful in highlighting some of the ways I hold myself back. I gained some insights into different ways of being.
Naturally there are some who won’t find this book useful.

Recommended for any and every woman- employed, SAHM, considering moving in your career, mothers juggling work and those not mothers.
Required reading for every woman in 2018.
“A career is like a jungle gym not a ladder, moving sideways at times as well as up and down”
I found this useful when considering a career move outside of my industry and it gave me pointers and perspective to contemplate on what was best for me and my family.
It gave me the courage to “sit at the table” and “lean in” to my career and life and ask for what I needed from my partner to make the juggle work.

Sheryl Sandberg made so many good points I will go back over this again. I recommend this to anyone who intends to be a leader in the field. Gender discussions are brilliant. Its got plenty of amo (in a good way) for women to recognise ways that may empower themselves - in professional environments - but can also be applied to everyday.
My partner (male) is also reading it and he has found it enlightening for advice for working alongside women in the work place & also for general leadership insights.

I really enjoyed this book. It certainly was great food for thought . A fantastic read for helping us think broadly no matter what our current situation in leadership might be.

This is a must read for both men and women in any organisation. Women need to be encouraged to ‘Lean In’ and men need to get on the front foot and encourage and embrace the women with the courage to ‘Lean In’

Loved the book. I came across this at the right time , a time when I was questioning my ambitions and trying to juggle between work and personal life. What a joy to listen to Sandberg telling her own story. I now feel normal and more empowered.
